The guys on NFL radio yesterday were absolutely sucking off Armstead for his run blocking on saturday, I was too drunk too remember it though. GIl Brandt said it reminded him of Wille Roaf. Good news for us!

Armstead is clearly a special talent. The Saints already have Pro Bowl guards and need to re-sign a RT who graded out as one of the top 2-3 at his position in the league. CENTER needs to be upgraded since the mediocre and declining starter is a free agent.

We also can't lose focus of solid reserves all across the OL. Injuries can break a season without a run game.

Sure...you draft and UDFA find those guys. Lelito has potential, for example. Others are in the organization right now. I think the Saints need to seriously consider drafting one of the top 2-3 centers (aka ready to start as rookies) this year to save money at that spot for guaranteed help.

Armstead really saved us the trouble investing time and money in the offseason in his position.

Armstead improves the O-line. You could always get a C in the middle rounds of the draft. Getting Butler and Vacaro back also helps. I think Greer may be done, and having two shut down corners improves a defense 10 fold. White is not a #2 CB. I say go CB with pick #1, WR with #2, and C or S with #3. Of course, the BPA may force us to take someone else.

Kiper had the Saints taking the OT Richardson from Tennessee in the 1st round in his first mock draft posted today.

said he wasn't sure if the Saints had their guy... talking about Armstead.

I don't know which game he was watching in the playoffs.

now, if Richardson could play right tackle? Then I'd be okay with the pick I guess.

no sure thing that Strief will get signed by the Saints. He didn't play all that bad... but do you sign him for a few more years???

Even if we resign him, he's pretty up there in age. We have a few young guns so I don't think that's a bigger need than C/WR/CB though

Hoping /thinking that either Brown or Streif stays and plays at RT for a team friendly deal. With Harris and Marcel pushing for a starting job at RT as well.

I'd take Strief over Brown. Brown is too soft.

I think Brown could stay for less than Strief and brown seems quicker on getting out on screens to me. Streif Looked as slow as he ever has. Either would be fine I just like brown in that he could slide over to LT when/if needed.

That's a very telling stat and reason for concern...question is- Do we bring in a veteran, or just address the OL in the draft? DLP is 'servicable', but if a quality Center is available in the draft, we should take him. I think Brown is a weak link, and needs to be replaced on the roster. Armstead came on strong in the last couple of games, so if he continues to improve, (and no reason why he shouldn't) this is a big plus.

I'd take neither and go with some 2nd or 3rd round draft choice or mediocre free agent.

Strief has been very good. Just don't know how much money he will demand
