Post 2019?

We had a contender during the COVID year, if cook holds onto the ball that team makes more noise. Even with Brees being damaged goods at that point.

Since then, loomis has replaced the head coach and a bunch of different starting QBs but maintained a very good roster which is able to attract big free agents like carr.

IMO the far bigger issue has been missing on our draft picks like Davenport and turner. That’s cheap high end talent you need to win titles and they’ve missed the mark there. This year can’t be a miss.

The window was slammed after Dennis Allen and the D plus our overrated OL choked against Minnesota and Kirk Freaking Cousins in the playoffs at home.

The death rattle was the COVID year when Brees was clearly washed up and couldn't throw 10 yards down field.

To keep kicking the can down the road is irresponsible.

They hired an imbecile as a head coach and keep mortgaging the future so this fricking clown can win 7-9 games.

Prediction: Everyone thinks this team is going to cakewalk to the NFCS title. Nope.

I bet that we finish no better than third.

This D is a shell. Oh yay! We signed two no-name DTs and a RB that barely averaged 4 ypc.

Oh, I forgot signed a middling QB to ridiculous money.

Even if you like the personnel moves (I don't) you forget that this is the worst coaching staff in the NFL.

To also respond to the previous post, that's where KC has really done work. 2 great/amazing drafts in a row with tons of starters

Saints have to crush pretty much every draft with this strategy and yeah, we have not the past couple.

We also traded our 1st this year and 2nd next year

You realize that the season after that we made the NFC championship and were one flag away from making the Superbowl?

How is that the window slamming shut?

Get out of here with your bs

Umm no.

They beat a sorry arse Bears team the next year and then choked against Tampa in the Divisional round.

This is the most annoying shite ever when trying to hold an in-depth conversation.

If you can't be bothered to defend your position, I just assume you're FOS.

I don't know if what SFP says is correct or is what will happen(even though I have the same gut feeling), but at least he shows his work.

I didn't have time to get into it.

And he is wrong because only 10 mil of his 2025 salary is guaranteed if he is on the roster in 2024.

The other 30 mil doesn't hit until the 2025 new league year or there about. Basically 70 mil for 2 years if they want to get out before 2025.

Seems like they gave him that 10 mil toward 2025 for structuring it like that.
