Does it really matter?
I'm so mad that they gave him that contract. It's going to come back and bite them in the arse when they need that money.

Doesn't he remind you of a fat girl. The way he walks and carries himself.

Chad alluded to it sucking, but how much dead money we talking if we release him after the season? Does it decrease it to tolerable if it’s a post-June 1 cut? I mean, at some point, it’s low enough to just cut our losses and eat it.
On the other hand, there’s where it’s too high, and we may as well keep him if only as depth. But if that does wind up being the case, I think they’ve got to open up that spot for competition. Just because he’s making a shite-ton doesn’t mean you have to automatically pencil him in as the starting LG.

We can't cut him next year. It wouldn't make any sense, unfortunately. Peat's Contract on OTC
2022 cap # - 15.45 mil
Dead Money if cut (pre June 1st) - 24.65 mil Saves -9.2 mil in cap space...not an option
Dead Money if cut (post June 1st) - 15.45 mil Saves $0 in cap space
2023 is easy to cut him though
2023 cap # - 16.425 mil
Dead Money if cut (pre June 1st) - 9.2 mil Saves 7.225 mil in cap space
Dead Money if cut (post June 1st) - 4.6 mil Saves 11.825 mil in cap space

Throck is young, cheap and plays surprisingly well for a rookie UDFA.
We have Forrest Lamp on the PS as well. Not saying he'll be good, but the potential is there.

It depends if Throckmorton gets hurt.

I'm not even sure what the competition is. Junior didn't work out because he was an idiot but it was an understandable move at the time. Byrd because of injuries but he was known as a top 3 FS at the time. I don't know any fan that was ok with that contract. It looked like a horrible deal at the time and somehow only looks worse now. I wouldn't have wanted him at half the amount.

no doubt... but he's constantly hurt... doesn't matter how much of a "freak" he is when he's in street clothes more often than in pads...
