Some folks are completely missing the real issues at work here.

That family loved the Northshore. They opened up to the Community, and in return, were embraced right back, with open arms.

The children are devastated.

But, Mrs. Payton made the only decision that ultimately counted.

Sean, the children, & Mrs. (or is it Ms.? Hmmm) Benson LeBlanc have to live with it. For different reasons.

what if Greg Williams were to leave after this year, how does Sean Payton convince a top notch coach to move HIS family to New orleans when Paytons family is leaving ? How does he sell the city as a great place to work and live. What about FA players ? It seems like this could back fire

FA will move at the drop of a hat, if no one drops it, they will. When the call comes, they will move.
Opening camp roster for the Saints had over 40 FA Players..this was not counting the other almost 30 other camp FA's.

What difference does it make where the coaches family lives? He can hire a top notch assistant the same way he hire Williams, $$$$$$, or if its a young up and comer a promotion always works. Do you guys understand that most coaches do not stay in one place very long in the NFL?

His objective is to get players or coaches for the Saints, not to settle down in New Orleans. Its the NFL, they are not looking to settle down for 40 years.

What makes you think most of the players live year round in the city where they play?

What do you think gets most FA to sign, the city in question is a great place to live and raise a family or the best offer, be it most money, chance to start etc?

Many coaches, players, people have more than one home. In this day and age, not uncommon. I know some that have three.

Didn't want to post a new thread about it, and searched and couldn't find anything on it. But I didn't know Payton is living in Mark Teixeira's old home in Westlake.

LINK

Sorry if germans. I just haven't seen it anywhere until yesterday.

Never said he bought it. Sean is leasing Tex's old place.

And as far as "you people"... just google the shite. Not like I just pulled it out of my arse.

Payton wanted to live in Dallas when he first signed as head coach

New Orleans is a pit. This is not hard to fathom why he would want to live elsewhere.

He lived on the north shore of Lake Pontchartrain, not New Orleans.
Uptown New Orleans, the Garden District, Lakeview, Metairie, Mandeville, etc. are not "pits".

New Orleans is a "pit" in the inner city crack houses only. If you took those out, 95% of the crime and murders would not exist.

Pretty sure Payton didn't live there, you stupid MF butthole.
