How many 3rd and 4th rounds picks is Mickey getting?

that isn't the bar needed to be set as owner of the chargers with Justin Herbert entering his prime. you either have faith he is the guy to win 2 super bowls over the next 10 years or you don't.

Probably fired Chargers HC after yoga video lol
Posted on 1/5/23 at 8:49 am to msstate7
agreed, but if he has a major coaching blunder or they look terrible they might

Great, o can’t wait to have Herbert as our QB. Nothing less
Posted on 1/5/23 at 9:06 am to Chad504boy
He's in a division with a better qb in his prime that has a better HC than Payton.

Herbert for Payton. Straight up

Both are somewhat debatable. Especially the coach part

Sure it's debatable about Sean vs Reid, but Reid has a better winning %
Reid has been to 9 championship/SB games in 23 years.
Payton has been to 3 championship/Sb games in 15 years.

Their pick will be in the 20’s….how is this good? Only good I see is Sean in AFC. If they win a game, we picking in the upper 20’s.
It would still be a first round pick, and if that's not enough because you have a team throwing a pick in the low teens, then you can make them sweeten the deal with even more picks and/or players.

So just ignore the 8 whole years more the walrus has been coaching?

I'll take:
2023 1st round pick
Either of the starting receivers (allen or williams?)
James the safety
2024 second round pick
That would be my starting point.

Maybe I should've used a stat like winning % that accounts for that. Damn, I shoulda said how many champ/SB games per year instead of just stating how many champ/Sb games and how many years they coached

That's a weird way to say Reid is 3-6 in conference championships and 1-2 in SBs, and Payton is 1-2 in conference championships and 1-0 in SBs
Also, their winning percentage differences are negligeable. Payton is at .631 & Reid is at .640. The difference is basically Payton needing 2-3 more wins out of 240+ games.

Not to mention Payton was literally robbed out of another super bowl that I would put my nuts on the Saints would have boat raced the patriots or at the very minimum scored more that a fricking field goal.

39.1% of Reid's seasons have ended among the final 4 teams. He's the #1 seed again this season.
20.0% of Sean's seasons have ended amount the final 4 teams.
I think that's significant when comparing the 2. Both are obviously outstanding coaches. I really don't see how this is somehow insulting to Sean
Not to mention that Reid has done it with multiple qbs. Sean had 1 season without a HOF qb

Chargers are gonna win 11 games and make playoffs. I'll be pretty shocked if they fire their coach

Duh...Loomis will take that pick & package it with our 2024 1st round pick to trade up and get our 10th overall pick back from Philly, silly.

I didn't see it as insulting, just that it was a weird way of putting it
If given a choice, I'd actually take Reid over Payton. Reid has been successful with McNabb, Alex Smith, and Mahomes. He may have had some success with Vick, just don't recall how much they overlapped. The key to this is his ability to adapt to the different styles. Whereas Payton's experience is Brees and some like to give him credit for Romo. Both have very similar styles of play
