It wouldn't matter. ALL the crews are league employees! They all do exactly what they're told, or they're out of a job. You're not watching a "fair" game, you're watching scripted, WWE-style "sports entertainment" designed to generate the maximum revenue for the league. Today it just so happened that Goodell could energize his #2 TV market AND frick CSP at the same time. Winner winner!

Well, that is really helpful. Can we replay the game?

Will never happen. If you aren't happy, stop watching. $$$ is the only thing they care about!

They did not blow the call. They purposely did not call either penalty. The NFL wanted the Rams and the young guns at QB and coach vs the Patriots and the old guard at QB and coach in the SB. The game is not "rigged," but if the game was close the NFL was going to whatever they could to guarantee the outcome. Same thing goes for the Chiefs. If the game is close in the 4th the refs will do everything in their power to make sure that the Pats win.

TLL made no appeal which didn't help in hindsight.

I think the league should let the same crew call the super bowl. I would watch that just to see who the league really wants to win.

Know how the Rams complained about being 0-8 with Vinovich? Well they are 7-0 with the official that was announced for the super bowl

Anyone saying fire the crew doesn’t even matter. If they don’t replay (fair) or put the Saints in the super bowl (duh play the rest out) it doesn’t even matter.

This will live on forever regardless of if the officials get murdered fired or whatever.

Of course it won't matter, but if anyone messed up as bad as that ref did in their jobs they would be fired with cause and rightfully so.

bullshite. The NFL wanted the Saints in the SB in '06, but the Bears just beat our dicks into the snow.

Can’t make it too obvious. It has to be close. Like in 09

was inconsequential and didn't even effect the outcome of the play dumbass.

outcome of the play is an element? Hmmmmm. Better alert the nfl. Only a dumbass would make that statement.

Blown call admission is simply theater... window dressing. The whole outcome of the game hinged on the blown call/non-call. That is reality. The Saints stay home, the Rams go. That is the result. No late “oops” admission undoes the damage or restores credibility. NFL is a farce.

does it not fricking matter that the actual missed call changed the outcome of the game? The Saints could have run out the clock had the refs not botched the call.

That ref should never ever be allowed to call another NFL game. Send him to the SEC, they're all blind there as well.
