Some twitter notes:

quote:

Josh Katzenstein

Sean Payton said Teddy Bridgewater has been the backup QB since Week 1. He picked up the offense quickly.

Also:

quote:

Luke Johnson

Sean Payton on Ken Crawley: I think he himself would say he wants to improve. ... But I think, collectively, the group needs to and I think the numbers for the corner would improve.

quote:

Jeff Duncan

Sounds like Ted Ginn Jr. will get a run at punt returns for the Saints: “We just need to get that gas can at his locker,” Sean Payton said. "He can do it."

for a guy as smart as Payton has shown to be he sure does seem to have more than the occasional lapse of judgements running this team

We have no WR depth. Carr isn't worth a roster spot, Smith is promising but not ready for a big time featured role and we still don't have Meredith up to speed.

If anything happens to Ginn...Saints would be in a bad spot. Not worth the risk for his 5 yards and fall down return technique on the off chance he ever tries to return one. Nor is there any real upside to his return ability at his age.

I think it's more of a sure hands thing. Although, I'm not really positive of his ability there. I just don't remember. We can handle an injury to Ginn way better than an injury to Kamara. So, if all we are looking for is someone to not let the ball bounce 20 yards past them, I guess they have more confidence in Ginn than Carr.

I guarantee you Trequan has a big role vs Atlanta.

The Falcons know our offense better than anyone. Were gonna need him to win this week.

I don't know if Smith is ready or not as I have not seen a pass thrown his way very often

CSP also just said above that Meredith may be activated this week.

Brees missed Carr on a possible TD so I don't think he is waste just yet. He must be blocking well if he is on the field.

I was hoping the bar for this position would be set a bit higher

This kid is really smart. If he can stay healthy I still think this could be our guy.

I traded Crawley and Davison to the Packers for two 1st round picks right before the 2019 draft in my Madden franchise.

Precedence is set Sean.

I really want to see Meredith active. I think he’s having some trouble picking up the offense and it’s not been health issues. Would love for him to take over the slot and become a more integral part of the O. I feel like it would only help us, especially on third down

Which is also why I really hope Meredith comes along. Getting the ball to him and TreQuan would add a different element to our O, which it desperately needs right now

That’s something he got from Bill Parcells. The big tuna got his whole team gas cans tho.
