To those who 100% wanted CSP gone guess where he would be flying to right now?

Yes! Tampa Bay.

Wouldn't that have been great?

BUMP!

Isn't it just a little bit funny all of the elation threads started when Payton announced he was staying, yet now the board is riddled with negativity? Oh what short attention spans and quick anger we all have here. We have gone from:

SEAN PAYTON IS frickING THE LEAGUE UP NEXT YEAR.

to

WE ARE frickED

ST has become an absolute shitstorm. The negatards have taken over and ran most of the good posters away.

Sean Payton did not forget how to be a really good coach. This organization just has less talent than the rest of the league...by a lot.

the offensive line struggles are real, its been proven that drew under pressure causes a turnover prone offense. We have to real work to do to get better on offense. I'm optimistic on Defense that it could be good enough if we have a stellar offense, i just don't think our defense is stellar enough to carry a subpar offense that goes 3 and out for 2 straight quarters. I'm hoping Payton taking over playcalling helps a bit too.

It is really all on the offensive line.

Everything to do with the Saints' (and really any football team's) success starts and ends with the line.

Agreed.

and that is a direct result of Sean Payton's lack of skill in acquiring talent via the draft and FA......

He needs a strong front office man to make his personnel decisions. I thought we were moving in that direction, but allas, no........

Agree. I'm not taking the blame off of him on that front, but if we have talent he's a wizard. Just don't depend on him to get the talent. I'd feel better about our organization if we were in the position of teams like the Jags and Raiders. I know I mentioned them in another thread, but honestly they're young and talented...and well we have an aging QB and no oline and a defense that has been bad for years (but showing promise this year to some extent). At any rate, I don't think Sean is the prob. Just give the man some talent to work with.

I disagree with none of this. There is nothing wrong with healthy criticism of this team's problems. It is extremely annoying and frustrating though when 7 months ago most here were acting as if we would win the Super Bowl now that our longtime coach wasn't leaving. Now most here are bitching and complaining about our 3 win season when we have yet to even play a game. The irrationality of it all is mind numbing
