I know you’re being tongue in cheek but let’s all have some perspective. That man came in when things were tough, catapulted this franchise through Katrina and brought us the golden age of saints football. While he wasn’t perfect, he certainly was the greatest coach to ever represent our team and gave nearly two decades of his life to this city that he had no personal attachment too.
I’m grateful for what he’s done.

I honestly think he just wanted to retire and enjoy life with his family. He is at retirement age. I dont think he will be back like some say to coach elsewhere.

I see Payton as the type to ride into the sunset early and just enjoy life. Definitely see announcer/analyst in his future, and I wouldn’t be shocked if he did come back to coaching. I just don’t think he will

Overall yes but the way he ended it was pretty weak. He left them in a garbage spot with qb and he couldn’t make it work either.
