As historically bad as the defense has been the last 5 years or so, this may be the worst defense of the Payton era. Which means maybe the worst defense of all time.

I just don't understand how this team can be this bad consistently. This team is long due for a complete overhaul. I'd rather start fresh than watch this sad story for another season.

I don't understand how your defense just gets worse each year. I get they were expecting fairly to play this year, but you build a defense from the line back. The saints have the youngest secondary and then journey men in the front seven. Imagine having Barnett, Fairly, Rankins, and Jordan up front
