There was 0 effort to bring someone in behind him the past 2-3 years when it was clear where it was going. Let’s don’t act like this took anybody by surprise.

I dont understand the stubborn reasoning of why the Saints have not addressed their WR issue over the past 5 years. If the Saints could have just got a slightly above average WR2 I could see the Saints being in 2-3 more Superbowls. Year after year in the draft they pass over drafting any WR's. This year if they even drafted a WR in the 4th he would have mostly likely been a Game 1 starter. Add to the fact that the Saints knew about the issues with Mike Thomas and still did nothing in the draft or free agency is absurd.

I acknowledge I’m the type of fan who fawns over ‘sexy’ picks at skill positions but I’ve been campaigning for drafting WRs for basically 10 years at this point and I feel super vindicated right now…
