Pat Swilling came to mind when I read the topic. He's what we don't have now, and I think G Williams would have fun with him.

Beerman. He never would have been caught from behind heading to the endzone and would produce more on punt returns.

OMG, I'm aware that the Saints played a 3-4 when Swilling was here but, pertinent to the question, it would be great to have someone who can come off the corner as Pat Swilling could. We don't really have a DE, or a OLB that possesses this skill. I agree that Jackson and Mills had a better career than Swilling. But Swilling came off the corner better than both of those players, although Ricky Jackson was did it well too. But as the title question states, it would "add to the team" . Im relatively certain that Gregg Williams could find some use in this defense for a Pat Swilling in his prime.

Swilling was built like a DE, was a DE at Tech, played some DE for the Saints, and certainly played DE for DET when he was traded

I agree w morten anderson

also agree w swilling, johnson mills and jackson

really like the idea of doug atkins, I still remember seeing him pick up an OT and throwing him onto a rookie qb named terry bradshaw.

Archie could help us win a super bowl with this cast

So could willie roaf or jim dombrowski

Ultimately my answer is that this team is just fine the way it is. all past players mentioned are great and would add something but this team is fime as it is
