Brooks was good for a couple years and I will be forever grateful for that win. Believe it or not Brooks was actually a very clutch QB. He was either first or 2nd in the league in winning TD drives for sure for several seasons. I didn’t know that but found something a few years ago showing it. He was also by many accounts extremely liked by all his teammates and respected. What many fans think and what his teammates and coaches think about him, even years later, are complete opposite

I remember how good Jeff Blake was and surprised he didn’t have much more success after his Saints departure. I cannot remember if it was due to age, injury, or maybe he just lit fire during his brief Saints stint and never could recapture it

That was the first playoff win in team history. The Saints whooped their arse for 3+ quarters, then almost gave up an insane comeback. I'll never forget the "Hakim dropped the ball!" radio call.

Amazing we were able to win that game down to a rookie and a journeyman RB, our 1-2 WRs both out I think. I think we were down a TE as well.

Aaron Brooks was never “good,” but he was less terrible during that season.

Willie Jackson and Brian Milne won that game.

Peak Aaron Brooks was good. It wasn’t for a very long period, but at his peak the dude was pretty solid.

Brooks was a unique talent and the best QB we had up to that point. McCarthy ruined him when he tried to make him a pocket passer.

The problem with Brooks was that he never improved.

<——Was there

It was cathartic.

Next box over were Rams fans, they were very gracious in defeat.

How is it underrated? Everyone who isn't wet behind the ears knows about the first playoff win in franchise history and "Hakim dropped the ball"

How is the Saints first playoff win against the greatest show on turf “underrated”?

that whole season was one of my favorites ever.

Saints D sacked the QB early and often every week.

A really well put together Dline.

Joe Johnson, Darren Howard, La'Roi Glover, Norman Hand

felt real bad for Blake when he got hurt vs. Raiders.

I always wondered what could have been had Ricky, Blake, and (Horn playoff game) hadn't gotten hurt.

Ricky played against the Vikings but i don't think we ever had control at any point in that game after the Wild Card.

would have lost to the stifling Ravens defense most likely in the SB had we made it but I would have loved to see our defense tee off on a pretty weak Ravens offense that year.

would have been 9-6 final barring a special teams TD or a defensive TD
