Does this guy stink?

Man, I thought he was destined to be a monster....

Im down to pick him up since our TEs are nothing to write home about.

I don't know but how many games would it take for stinky to not miss blocks, be in the right spot and know our playbook as well as who we have?

If he's healthy I'd definitely give it a look.

Was that in college? From what I recall he never really turned into the matchup problem a lot of people were expecting. He has/had all the tools to be one of the better TEs in the game and would have a run of games showing he’s turning the corner; but never out a full season together in the NFL

first thing that comes to mind when I think about this guy is how he torched Clemson in the back-to-back championship games he had at Alabama.

I want to say in the first one he caught for over 200 yards and 2 TD's.

the other he had over 100 yards receiving and another score.

but other than that, he wasn't a game wrecker.

but he's 27 now and as mentioned, he had a torn Achilles a few years ago.

so, I don't know about that.

No. I believe it was during his 2nd NFL season.

he had another injury that year you are talking about.

The Achilles was in 2020.

He’s been a bust. Never seemed to click at TB and Winston was kinda blamed for it. But it’s pretty clear now he’s just not very good. All hype with no production

Are you implying that 27 is old?

A 27 year old TE more than likely has at least 4-6 productive seasons left.

He's a bust.

He definitely isn't horrible per se and can be on a roster, but there's no point in rostering him unless you are so desperate for TE play and you don't think your current cheap TE3 is a NFL level player, which is a low bar.

He's actually a better blocker than a pass catcher at this stage in his career.

27 and already had a few seasons cut short due to injury

including an Achilles tear.

I wouldn't bet my money on Howard for that, but I'll bet your money if you'd like.
