Don Reese.

Busted with lb of Cocaine when he was with the Dolphins, later outed many players for coke in SI in the early 80's. Was blamed for wide spread coke use with Saints (yes the Saints got him after he was busted in Miami. In SI article he talked about free basing with Chuck Munice and other Saints. I've long thought it was cocaine that destroyed the 1980 Saints. (fwiw, Channing Crowder's dad was busted with Reese in Miami, he went to TB and seemed to turn his life around).

If you're going to add office people in then you have to put Mike Ditka on the list.

Hey, I understand everybody's frustration about Ditka, and I know the guy made some mistakes, but I can't bring myself to hate on the guy. I think he was an awesome game-time coach, just not great with the preparation needed to win. Jim Mora was the opposite, great at the prep, sucked on gameday. A hybrid of the two would have been great.

Anyway, the guys I do want to hate on...

• Aaron Brooks - always hated the fact that he got the job because Jeff Blake got hurt, and then Jeff never got the chance again. I mean, Jeff was playing incredibly when he went down. What a waste Brooks was.
• Jim Haslett - for keeping Aaron Brooks.
• Tom Benson - sorry, but come on already! Just sell the team to somebody who cares about the city of New Orleans. I'll even let you retire in peace to San Antonio.
• Steve Walsh - I love the Cannon too much to care for this guy. Hey, maybe I'm wrong, but wasn't he the idiot who fumbled the snap and then kept "throwing" the ball at the ground to convince everybody that he had actually spiked the ball?
• Ricky Williams - In one sense, I appreciate the guy. I put him on the list because of the sheer disappointment he was in the end.

SAINTS 2009!!

1. Scott Shanle (maybe the worst NFL player in history)
2. Ricky Williams (the trade, enough said)
3. Mike Ditka (for the trade)
4. Aaron Brooks (talented, but dumb)
5. Gary Gibbs (for his bullshite system and playing Shanle)

Don't take this the wrong way, because about 10 other people listed RW as well, but..

Are you guys retarded? Seriously? Do you not comprehend that we got 2 relatively high first round picks for Ricky Williams AFTER we got him for a cheap contract and AFTER he took a pounding for us for 3 years?

The trade to get him really wasn't that bad. That's why so many teams passed on it. Cleveland, Philly, Indy... all passed. It wasn't that bad of a trade in the first place. And then we got even MORE in return for him.

Two 1st round picks > 2nd rounder, 3rd rounder, 4th rounder, 5th rounder.

It turned out to be one of the better deals in Saints history.

No, it was not a good deal. Nothing wrong with having Ricky Williams on a most despised list, but by doing so you blame him on all the picks being given up, not Ditka. He just wanted to play football. I think he was bad for the team because he was clearly only out for himself.

This is easy

1.) Kyle Turley - just overall douchebag except for that awesome Jets game incident

2.) Bobby Hebert

3.) Jonathan Sullivan

4.) Alex Molden

5.) Aaron Brooks (Duh)

2. Jason David
3. Fred Thomas
4. Dante' Stallworth
5. Danny Wuerfell (spelling?)

How quickly we forget...
Alfred Fincher 3rd rd
Courtney Watson 2nd rd
Wille Grant 2nd rd
Sedrick Hodge 3rd rd
Winfred Tubbs 3rd rd
Reggie Freeman 2nd rd
Steve Bearden 3rd rd
Alvin Toles 1st rd
Reggie Mathis 2nd rd
Robert Watts 3rd rd
Rick Middleton 1st rd
Wille Hall 2nd rd

The Saints had the greatest LB group in history with the DP but besides then it might be the worst drafted position in their history. And that's saying a lot. Most of those guys didn't pan out at all, not even journeyman.

How many of you remember Shawn Knight, drafted in the 1st round out of BYU in 1987. Jonathan Sullivan started more games than he did.

Kinght-
I think I spouted somewhere last week on here... Mora Sr. on NFL network was talking about Woodson, rated a top 3 player by most, was dropping in the draft. They thought he was gonna land in NOLA with only the Steelers left ahead of them. Pitt needed a RB bad. Click, they pick Woodson. They asked Mora, "Who did you pick then?" He looked embarrassed and said Shawn Knight. he was traded a year later for another bust Ted Gregory.

What about the Saints coaches & management- Coach J.D. Roberts- with this loser we were responsible for giving up the #1 pick in the draft (BERT JONES!) for Billy Newsome. Or how about Dick Nolan, although I think it was really John Mecom (owner), who wanted a 'Texas boy' so we drafted Russell Opps-slaben in the 1st round!! A fricking kicker!! Haslett- This idiot was in bed with Aaron Brooks, ended up costing him his job. Mike Ditka-Ricky Williams...nuff said. I am going to stop here, I am getting too pissed off thinking back to all the losers we have had in this organization.
