You could have traded up in the 2nd for that guy if you really wanted him that bad. I just can’t believe we left a potential all-pro LB on the board for another all potential DE. It feels like 2018 all over again. This team just doesn’t value the LB position like others do. I’m inclined to trust this front office but damn this feels like a frickup.

Stop being obtuse. This guy could have been got later on. They obviously are trying to prove they are smarter than everyone else.

And BPA is meaningless because the Saints have their board of BPA that obviously differs from what the fans see (Kiper)

The fact that everyone really, really hates this pick makes me think Turner will be good.

You don’t know that. There was chatter about him going in the 1st. The last 5 picks weren’t names we were talking about…by good teams who have drafted well and know what they are doing. Stop crying just because Kiper and McShay didn’t mock him in their 1st round mock. Educate yourself on the guy then come back.

I dogged the pick because I didn’t know who he was like most people. His measurements are insane. Hopefully, he has a good work ethic.

My biggest issue isn’t so much the player as the position. You can never have enough pass rushers but you traded for the future when you needed to draft for the preset. At most Turner is a rotation player that plays 30% or so of the snaps when you could have drafted a LB that stayed on the field for 100% of the snaps or a corner who most likely would have started. I would have been fine using one of our 3rd and our 2nd to move up in the 2nd fit Turner but not 28.
