I'm predicting a 10-6 season and NFC South championship.

It will be critical that the Saints get off to a better start this year but all the pieces are in place. We look slightly improved on paper and the division is still weak. Tampa will probably challenge us for the division but we should win IMO.

Agree. 10-6 seems about right...

Saints 10-6
Panthers 9-7
Bucs 8-8
Falcons 4-12

I have them going 12-4 and to the Super Bowl and I'm a Redskin fan.

Best Offense in the NFC possibly NFL.
Division is so/so
Schedule is so/so, would say easy if they didn't get screwed by having one less home game.
Dallas, Philly and NY will beat up on eachother making none of them a candidate for Home field advantage.

This looks pretty good. Cant say I would change anything. Maybe 1 less win for the dirty birds.

I actually think most if not all games are winnable....with that said, I'm gonna say 10-6 or hopefully 11-5!

i predict 10-6 as well.. no matter how easy the schedule looks some games may not go as planned.. and we may lock up the nfc south with nothing else to play for towards the last 2-3 games therefore rest starters like in 2006.

yeah, 10-6 sounds right, only because of the uncertainty of the defense.

There is no reason for them not to get to 10 wins, when they come back from London, their last 8 games are all very winnable.

11-5 Saints - First Round Bye
8-8 Panthers
8-8 Bucs
4-12 Falcons

I agree that the NFC East is a beast which will prevent Dallas or Philly from clinching Home Field.

11-5 Saints (home field)
11-5 Dallas (bye)
10-6 Seattle
9-7 Minnesota
10-6 Philly (wild card)
9-7 Green Bay (wild card)

I say 11-5 and NFC Championship Game.

Here's why...last year we had the worst pass defense in NFL HISTORY as pertaining to opposing QBs rating, started 0-4, had virtually no between the tackles threat from the RB position and STILL finished 7-9.

I think with a middle of the road defense we finish no worse than 9-7. But I think our defense will improve more than just halfway once they gell a bit. I really think 11-5 is realistic and would not be at all surprised if we are even better should our defense step up.

Then again, if the defense shows no improvement then another long season is in store as we will likely struggle just to try to reach 0.500.

My gut says 11-5!!!!

My heart tells me that they have a great chance to win 12 games, if the d can step it up and the injury bug has done all the damage it will do for the year. Having said this i think that the worst this team could do barring injury is 9-7.. I beleive a 9-7 year would be a dissapointment for this team. Unless of course they still win the division somehow and make some noise in the playoffs...
Although i believe that carolina will be tough as always with their runnin game and a healthy delhomme....

No home game for 43 days straight. the league taking away one of our precious home games. Roger Goodell saying he'll lift the suspension on Denver's star reciever a week early so he can play against the Saints. Having to go to Chicago again in December, which gives them a decided advantage, I'd say the fricking league & this new a-hole commisioner are against the Saints.
Now that the bitching's done, I have to say this is one of the three best drafts in this team's history. We have been very lucky so far in maintaing the health of critical players & the coaches ought to be able to use all of my former bitches to rally the troops. This along with the full return of McKenzie & the surprisingly great play of Porter makes the Saints odds on favorites to have home field acvantage in the playoffs. 12-4.

Not sure where you got that from but it's not correct.

The point stands though as we did have the worst passer rating defense last year, just not in NFL history.

We just have to be "average" this year on pass D, hopefully top 20 or so. I think we should be a bit better on run defense, maybe crack the top 10. And of course we'll rely on our offense, mainly the passing game to carry us.
