Lots of ignorance in this thread. PRob was decent after the first few games last year. They moved him to the slot for ~8 weeks and he was pretty money there until he had to go outside again. Even then he didn't get manhandled nearly as much as White (and even Lewis at some points who really got destroyed down the stretch last year). The guy is worth it to keep around as a 3/4 IMO.

If any of you clowns can make a legit argument he's ever panned out to be what we pay him then I'll listen. Until then I will say I'm elated he is leaving. This is long overdue.

Well we owe him sh!t right now as he's a FA.

Was he/is a #1 CB? No. The list of those is long in the NFL.

Is he worth #3 CB money?

Hell yes.

PRob- one of the classic WTF picks of the Payton era. Wasn't he supposedly Gregg Williams guy? It was a weak DB year and they stretched for him. Remembering...

I think most peeps wanted Sergio Kindle at the time- an even worse career. The DBs after him were no better: Chris Cook, Nate Allen, TJ Ward, Taylor Mays. I thought the pick was gonna be Brian Price on that draft day (another bust). Who I really wanted, as well as others here, was Daryl Washington. #32 was a push for him at that time but he looked exactly like what was needed. He was at 15 picks later. He is a FA now but won't be eligible to sign until completing a year suspension in May. He has proven to be a difference maker at LB.

when the Saints take a guy I'm gonna pull for him even if I think he's shite. As soon as he takes the black and gold off fukkim. Ready to move on from him too.

When draft picks depart though I always look back to re-evaluate. They have had some pretty kewl picks that were unconventional. PRob was not one. Didn't like the selection in 2010 anymore then than now. Pains all the more when the guy you wanted at the spot pans out (Washington).
