Need to stop paying for old overpaid players.
Also… need the draft picks to rebuild team and bring down salary cap number.

People really want to give up a 2nd or 3rd rd. Draft pick ?? That’s Crazy !!

Some Numb-Skulls just don’t get it !!

Saints best effort will be to play .500 ball
if they are lucky.

Deal with it.

Ain't nobody trying to play no damn ".500 ball"... we trying to take advantage of a dominating defense... if we can swing Davante with a 2nd or 3rd we got to do it... hell front office probably fumble the pick anyway

.500 level ball is the talent Level on the team…. Like it or not.
Everyone had their fun for 2 weeks…
now back to reality.

You don’t spend a 2nd rd draft pick on a 32 year old wide receiver owed tens of millions of dollars.

Talk about screwing the team longterm !!

A lost a lost... but I'm not discouraged by the way we lost.... we basically 5 or 6 plays from being 4-0...

The NFC is wide open with no dominant teams. The Saints have just as much of a chance to win the NFC as anyone.

Davante Adams greatly improves this offense in that the Saints basically have no 3rd WR threat at all. So you have Kamara getting 25 touches a game. That's not sustainable because he will end up hurt. And while Olave and Shaheed are good receivers they are both small and aren't the best contested catch recievers.

Now add Davante and all of a sudden you have a legit WR1 who is excellent with contested catches and it now gives you 3 legit wide receiver options. They already get almost no production from the tight end position so this offense desperately needs another playmaker. I think adding Davante would improve the offense a ton and make this team a legit contender.

So you take your top draft pick in the 2025 draft….Take an impact WR for cheap money over first 5 contract years at 21 years of age. Hopefully he plays 8-10 years.

You don’t trade high draft pick for 32 year old Wr…. Who will only play for 2-3 years and pay him tens of millions of dollars.

This Wrecks your team in the longterm.

You only take a Davante Adams if you are 1 player away from winning a superbowl…. and that’s NOT the Saints !!

First of all, Adams is not coming here.

Secondly, in order to be a contender you have to be able to close out games and that concept is too far beyond our head coach’s ability.

You're wrong. The Saints are a top 5 team looking at stats. We should be 4-0 but for a few mistakes. We were in position to win both games. There's alot of football left. If we can stay relatively healthy and get back the team we had in weeks 1 and 2, you'll see it wasn't an anomaly. We may end up 500 but it's not from lack of talent.

People are ok with trading a 2nd or 3rd round pick when we draft like shite anyways.

If a revised deal for his next two years come with it, I'm sure we can find a way to make it work. He is still a WR1 on the right team.

You’re in no way incorrect. This board isn’t going to like it though.

Anyone saying that a 2nd Rd draft pick for a LEGIT WR1 obviously does not know football!
That is a steal for Adams even with a player tacked on it!

Agreed. Adams has turned into a diva and he’s past his prime. It would be cool to have him but we’re better off keeping our picks and saving some cap.

Also, can we just stop messing around with the Raiders all together. I don’t want anymore of their bum hand-me-downs
