LINK

1) Shaq Lawson, DE, Clemson
2) Jalen Mills, CB/S, LSU
3) Jonathan Bullard, DL, Florida
4) Connor McGovern, OG, Mizzou
5) Keyarris Garrett, WR, Tulsa

Really, really solid draft for us I think. Addresses key positions with good players. Y'all may question the Mills pick, but Payton has talked about Safety, plus Mills is positionally versatile to add depth to basically any position in the secondary outside of SS.

Would probably have rathered Whitehair in the second over Mills, but it's not terrible if this guy had Mills rated higher.

We are going to pick a S at some point. That's a solid draft.

wow Bullard in the 3rd round? Kinda seems like he go sooner than that.

I'd be excited if we got him though. I noticed him a lot the times when I caught a Florida game or two.

I hate how his first round played out. If that is how it looks at 12 I really hope we trade down. Want nothing to do with Lawson.

Also hate the Mills pick.

I like the rest.

EDIT: I would much rather go Vernon Butler with our 2nd since he is still there in his mock. Kenny Clark is there too. and Cody Whitehair. I would be butthurt if we drafted Jalen Mills with those guys there.

Don't want mills in the second and I'm pretty sure Bullard is going to go very early second maybe even first round.

I was wondering the same thing. It's so weird how some people get so dead set against certain players when the draft is such a crap shoot. The guy was super productive in college and tested pretty well athletically. He's probably one of the more surer players in the draft to me.

If we pick Mills over Su'a Cravens, if available, I'll be pissed.

Yeah the Mills pick is a solid pick if for Free Safety. The guy can cover and he is okay at tackling (not great, but OK) but he would have range and the ability to cover at FS. Plus he would have versatility as a 3rd/4th cornerback for depth purposes. Remember, there was talk of him being a first round draft pick before he got hurt to start the season. But I'd be okay with the pick for free safety.

But that being said gimme Vernon Butler if he is available with our 2nd pick. Or maybe even Kenny Clark. Or shite I'dbe down with Cody Whitehair there too.

But I'd much rather

1.) Lawson
2.) Butler
3.) Maybe Mills is still available here but if not another safety or a higher rated guard or I would be okay with Bullard here even if we went with Lawson and Butler 1st and 2nd

Is it weird I like the value/talent ratio in the 2nd as opposed to at 12?

The guys I like in the 2nd are easily in the double digits while only a couple at 12.

Would be a good year to trade down twice, and get one 1st round pick, and three 2nd round picks.

I would be surprised if Bullard was there in the 3rd. I would be satisfied with the draft class although I know nothing about the OG and WR
