Where was the logical thinking where we were the only team to give up a draft pick for covid protocols? When numerous teams were breaking the same rules? Including the commissioner himself?

Covid protocols were broken and a punishment was levied. I get it. It seems unfair, and I tend to agree. But I don't recall hearing any rules about FO personnel being on the sidelines. If I am wrong, then so be it, but nothing in this thread has mentioned/linked a broken rule.

You need 2 more downvotes just to make it 28-3. I agree with you but the 28 never looks right unless there’s a 3 with it.

Its not naive to ask a question.

None of this answers the precedent question.

If you want to talk precedents. How many teams have the G.M. and the newly created Asst. to the G.M. on the sideline in the areas designated for coaches. It just doesn't happen. This looks like a precedent to me. They can feed you a turd but that doesn't mean you have to swallow it. I'm not swallowing this turd.

Bro, calm down. I think there has been a miscommunication. A precedent for punishment for this.

Hell, I'm all for the extremist of punishments. Make them forfeit the season. Suspend the whole front office for a year...or 5. Whatever.

I'm just trying to come from a logical standpoint and not an emotional one.

I am perfectly calm and I am not approaching this emotionally but the facts are Arians was caught in a lie when he said that they had no spot for them. He and the G.M. were both on the sidelines for a reason and Arians is walking around in the coaches box agitating players in the game and the officials. WTF. He was there for a reason. Logic is based on evidence and reasoning. As long as the league looks into Arians and whether he chided Evans into getting involved or if he didn't I don't have a problem with their ruling on him actually being on the field.

What would you have them do?

He should be banned from the sideline.

Look, we can go on for many responses to this, but the fact is that I cannot recall any front office people being punished for sideline antics of any sort

I’m not calling for anything drastic, but the fact that there hasn’t been a precedent is not a reason to not drop the hammer. Hell, it may even be an incentive to make sure none of the other teams don’t ever do something similar. But, to answer your questions, it would be hard to have a precedent if there hasn’t been a similar situation where a front office employee was in the sidelines during the game and in areas they shouldn’t be.

This is my point. We have no idea what it should be. Now we know what the minimum is. A strongly worded letter, a warning basically.

To hellsu’s point, they should absolutely investigate if Arians said something to Evans. But none of them will admit the truth, if something agitating was indeed said, and all they have is camera views with lip reading.

I've seen a bunch of people on this board say that, but I feel like y'all are just piggybacking off of what somebody said as their opinion. I haven't seen any video that shows Arians talking to Evans.

Twitter
It went viral when Barstool shared the video. Arians literally can be seen mouthing "Go get him Mike". Evans then turns sees Lattimore and goes straight in. This video also disproves Evans account that he saw him swing and had to do something because he turns in time to see LF7 hit Latt and is already running full speed. I know the video is getting harder to find because Fox and the NFL have been cracking down on its copyright infringement, even though all other videos other than Gages punch are still all over social media. Here's another link questioning if Bowles has any control over the team since Arians ordered the hit to fire the team up. Essential Sports

It's not just heresay or a made up tale.

Sean gets a year suspension because he should have known about a BS bounty program.

Arians tells a player to go take a cheap shot and he gets a strongly worded letter.
