thats very old news and it was before he got a big new contract to stay
then goodell got his insane stupidly overpaid new contract
this means nothing and goodell is going no where despite how much we would all love him gone
we can only hope after the superbowl rigging scandal and if the NFL loses it arse off subsidizing LA then and only then maybe they will fire him

Yeah, Goodell signed a 5 year extension in 2017, but this at least shows some owners want Goodell replaced. That's a good start to getting him out of there!

David Stern should be NFL commissioner. He looked out for New Orleans in the past.

Look at how the NBA is run currently. You guys might not care for the way Goodell has run things as of late, but y'all would hate the NFL so much more with Silver running it

Silver is even worse with his handcuffing of the Pels in this AD situation. He's been a mediocre to bad Commish for the NBA.

the fact that the NBA (which... in essence... means Silver) warned the Pelicans to play AD or face a large fine makes me hesitate to want Silver running the NFL
the equivalent of making a couple that's agreed they aren't right for each other and broke up continue to live together even though they now are starting to hate each other's guts

Goodell is not a leader, but merely a stooge who does the owner's bidding.
The league would be well served by someone who can, well, lead, and not serve as an overpaid order-taker.

Reading the underlying reports it seems like they are based off of the representative of only one owner approaching Silver sometime in the past. Probably Jerry Jones. Not that there is necessarily some concerted effort by any sizable group of NFL owners to replace him.
