Is anyone else cooling a little on Kenneth Murray?

Spectacular athlete but I'm starting to have concerns on his actual play and processing.

Was never high on him and truly hope we don't take him. Has terrible instincts and just hits hard. His play recognition and diagnosis are god awful and I really don't think he would make us better than Alonso or AA at the other LB spot. frick taking him

I’m watching Brooks and Curtis Weaver as the two of the guys we could take at 24 that no one would expect

Who else you got that would be surprising?

I'm a big Pittman fan. He reminds me a lot of Michael Thomas. He will be a year one starter

Cesar Ruiz would be surprising.

He's one of the few players I hope we avoid in round 1. He has bust written all over him. Athletic QB lacking football IQ. Inability to make reads and makes poor decisions

I wouldn’t be surprised if they pick Ruiz to be honest. It is a safe pick with everything going on and has late 1st/early 2nd projection so isn’t that much of a reach.

I’m not a big fan of Murray either. I can’t see a world where they pick Pittman, Brooks, or Weaver at 24 though. That would shock me.

I’ve seen Johnson in the top 20 in some mocks

I can see Brooks but Weaver? Would sort of melt considering there are better edge players out there.

Maybe but I honestly wouldn’t be shocked like I would if they took Weaver or someone like that. It’s obvious Sean wants to upgrade the OL. If Austin Jackson falls, I could see him and them sticking him at Guard like they did Peat.

There are several insider types saying Austin Jackson will go higher than anybody had previously suspected.

The more I think about it the Saints should trade back. Rounds 2&3 seem to be the sweet spot . These mocks are all over the place. They won't I'm sure but that's my two cents. I see the 49ers are looking to trade both of their firsts. They know they have a pretty complete roster and can prob do just as much damage adding depth in later rounds or stacking up for another year when they can evaluate better.

Every year we say this and every year they either don't or they move up.

It is just not in their MO to do that in the first round for going on a decade now.

Well that’s the point, that’s why it’s a surprising pick

There are very few picks I would melt over

Taking Weaver at 24 would be one of them.

here’s 7 names

Jordyn Brooks

JK Dobbins (has met with team twice virtually)

Jeremy Chinn (with the idea he is a LB)

3tech DT’s Madubuike & Davidson (Madubuike has met with team)

OL Ezra Cleveland or even Robert Hunt(you look to find what guys have played multiple positions..Hunt has started games at both T spots, & G. With no 2nd rd pick, could they reach for him?)

I like Chinn a lot and Dobbins and Brooks

I’d be fine with either DL and Cleveland. I’ve seen Hunt mocked all over the place. I’ve seen anywhere from second round to fourth round. I like him though
