I have not heard a single word about him in camp, and he is listed at like 6th at his position on the unofficial depth chart they released, which I'm not sure you can take anything from, but it doesn't seem ideal.

the only good thing to take is the coaching staff isn't seeming to hand out shite to anyone which is how it needs to be. Earn it. Shough isn't being handed nothing. And list goes on. So when we see players earn playing time, we can be confident that time has been earned and deserved and we're keeping the best group of players.

I didn’t like the Shough pick or this pick out of our whole draft. Two major reaches.
So it doesn’t suprise me these two have been the most disappointing from reports.

man, you're reaching for hyperbole's to justify your previous axe. Let Shough be and give him a year and half and see what comes of him. Even if he becomes a 5 yr legitimate backup qb for us, its hardly worth grappling over the pick 40. QB position is that important bro.

They had top 30 talent still on the board. It is a big deal when you have holes all over the roster. It trickles down having to sign free agents to fill those holes. If he’s a 5 year backup at qb, it was a totally wasted pick.

stop it. every year this is said. QB position is still light years heads and shoulders above any other importance that we must put ourselves in position to take calculated swings to deepen the room right now on the cheap.
that is our way out of our cap predicament.

I don't really disagree about the pick...but there's always top 30 talent on the board in hindsight.
Go on record and say who we should have drafted.

Taking a 26 year old habitually injured qb in the top 40 is not a calculated swing lol.
Taking shedeur Sanders in the 5th is a calculated swing. And I didn’t really care for him as a prospect.

I woukd have been happy with Ezeriku, Mike Green, Mason Taylor or even Amos at 40. No complaints if we took any of these guys.
Would have taken Burden if he fell one more spot b/c I don’t trust our receivers to stay healthy.

Two years ago I also bashed our pick at 40 numerous times on here and couldn’t believe we passed on Brian branch who I also said was a first round talent.
Two years later we see who had the correct call.

I mean I was on the money about last years draft….
Wanted Bowers or Brian Thomas in the first and cooper Dejean or Edge cooper in the 2nd. All four are absolute studs.
Bowers is the best te in the league already. Experts have Thomas as a top ten receiver after one year. Dejean was a huge part of the eagles winning a superbowl and got mvp votes and won the fan voting for mvp. Cooper was nfc defensive player of the week multiple times last year.

It’s crazy how we usually screw up our 2nd rounders and 3 of the 5 I named were on the all rookie team and absolute studs and Newton would have been 4 if not for his injury to start the season. And the 5th I named Nubin, was a high level starter since day one and looks to be a breakout star this year.

Either way, that’s 5 high level starters as rookies I just named. 5 for 5. Good gms can’t pull that off in the first round much less the 2nd round. So yea I’m a little beyond just Brian Branch buddy….
That being said, I did say I liked our top two picks last year. It was a good match of value and need at critical areas.
Just laid out last year, let’s hear what you have to say now?????

As far as Bowers, if the Saints pass on him they will regret it forever. He has the best tape for a te that I have ever seen in college. He’s a true football player. No way I’d pass on him unless it’s to move down for a haul, which we do need

Depending on what’s available when we pick. I like Brian Thomas

Ironically, I said over and over in the draft threads that year we needed to draft Jefferson and was told receiver was the last thing we needed lol. Deja vu…. Thomas won’t be as good as Jefferson. But he can be a faster Tee Higgins and fits our offense perfectly.
