Season long trend, I have given up trying to understand weeks ago. Just frustrates me. Our opening drive of each half is successful nearly every game, yet we let up doing what worked.

Doesn't matter what player is covering him. When the defender has his back turned completely to Brees, he throws that ball right at him. We've done it often.
It wasn't the best pass obviously, but it wasn't a questionable decision. The safety was still in the end zone when he threw that ball, playing back. 3-4 yards earlier, or a foot higher, and it's a great play and 1st and goal.
There was no attempt to "drop" the ball in between them with the back shoulder throws. The defender turned in time to see the ball coming after the ball was in the air. If he hesitates, as most seem to do when we throw that, Colston catches it on his back and/or gets a pass interference call.

quote:SSSSSHHH. The other poster and his imaginary friends all know that the Saints throw that back shoulder pass all of the time.
Its extremely tough to "drop" in a ball between a guy bracketed by a corner and safety especially when the defender is in extremely tight coverage.

I wish Fox would breakdown some of the upcoming Sunday Match-Ups or interview some personalities at Half. Anything but this grab arse...
Finally, why aren't they doing more videos of troops wishing their families a Happy Thanksgiving as they go to commercial? I always enjoy it this time of year.

Okay, I'll be like you guys and pretend that's the first time I've ever seen Brees throw it right at the coverage man's back. Yep, he's never done that, we've never completed that pass before. What a stupid decision.

I'd like to see some sort of other sport's exhibition during halftime. Like a 3 round boxing match or Usain Bolt seeing how many times he can lap a fat guy in a race around the field. It doesn't always need to be music.
