Welcome back, Who Dats & Who Datettes, to the Saints Talk weekly Saints Game Thread

Welp... prepare thy anus to see Tommylee Lewis getting blasted by Nikell Robey-Coleman aka the NOLA No Call 50,000,000 times today since it's the rematch of the January screw job known as the 2019 NFC Championship Game.

The team, of course, is saying the correct things. That they've moved on and it's a new season. Fans & media, however, are trying to keep the controversy alive b/c well

So... moving on to today's particular game... both teams enter with 1-0 records. We all remember what the Saints needed to do to open up the MNF schedule with a win as Wil Lutz banged a career long 58 yard field goal as time expired for a 30-28 win over the Houston Texans in the Superdome.

As for the Rams, they came east and let the $Camthers hang around, leading by as much as 13 but eventually winning 30-27 as Jared Goff threw for an amazing 186 yards, 1 TD, & 1 INT and Todd Gurley ran for 97 yards

LET'S AVENGE THAT B.S. ENDING LAST SEASON, BEAT THESE RAM BUTTHOLES, AND START 2-0!!!

The Saints defense, that struggled some last week, should be bolstered by the return of David Onyemata following his 1 game drug suspension.

As for the injury report, the Saints are even more healthy than last week, with Sheldon Rankins the only player with any kind of designation, out with his Achilles injury suffered during last year's playoffs. Ryan Ramczyk was limited on Friday with a thigh injury but should be good to go.

The Rams are just as healthy. Todd Gurley missed practice on Friday, but his absence was non-injury related so he should be fine to play. Everyone else was a full participant in practice on Friday.

Weather: Since it's outdoors I'll give you a weather report this season. At the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum it should be in the lower 90s with no chance of rain and a slight breeze at game time

Uniforms: Saints social media confirms the historically beautiful uniform combo of black jerseys & gold pants for the Saints today

Current Standings:
NFC South
Saints 1-0
Bucs 1-1
Falcons 0-1
Panthers 0-2

NFC West
49ers 1-0
Rams 1-0
Seahawks 1-0
Cardinals 0-0-1

I have no idea what to expect today.

This game could be a shootout.

It could be a defensive struggle.

It could be sloppy with a frick ton of turnovers.

No idea.

BTW I watched that game last year in Vegas and lost money. Then lost money with my Rams +2/under parley 2 weeks later. Not really a fan of either team after that. The next day I went out to the range and got some fully auto and .50 caliber shooting therapy.

Our schedule fricking sucks. Much rather have these tough games spread out and not four in a row.

Lost money vs having to put up with the nonstop whining about a few tasteless signs at the '06 NFCCG. That really drove what fans (because of Ditka) you had left from Chicago.

ETA: In all seriousness that dominos from that fricked up no call screwed Chicago last week. (They had a huge completion to the GB 30 on 1st and 20 wiped out and eventually faced 1st and 40 in their own territory.) Then they no called the DPI on the Amos end zone INT.

and Dikta screwed up our franchise pretty badly

This is like last year when the Saints went to Minnesota and stomped the Vikings. Want nothing more than to repeat this with the Rams.

I seriously don't know how this wasn't week 1 MNF

it would've made Michelle Beadle's little story that ended with her husband Joe Buck a bit more funny
