It's just a matter of how the Saints have graded the QB position for the second round. I haven't heard of any noise from anyone how the Saints FO feels about the QBs in this draft.

Dont like Corral. Besides Brady, who was the last successful QB in the NFL taken outside the 1st round? Im sure they have several, but I cant think of any off the top of my head

You’d think someone on the Saints board would be able to name one person.

Not sold on Corral.

Yeah. He may come in and make a few amazing plays. But he’ll also throw a million ints

His risk is way higher than the reward

The numbers really don't tell that story.

In the last 2 years, he threw 49 TDs to 19 INT.

While inexcusably terrible games, 11 of those INT came in 2 games in 2020.

Corral threw 5 INT in all of 2021, and never more than one in a game.

Callaway was a huge disappointment last year. Agreed. Thought he was primed to make a huge splash and he just couldn't get separation when lined up across from a true #1 corner. That said, I have high hopes he will make a very good #3 or #4 with MT and a talented rookie getting the defense's attention.

100%. Some guys are not #1s. Alvin Harper was not the same after left the cowboys and m Irvin. Same here. With M Thomas back, you will different results with Callaway.

As for the OP and those three picks….that is two starters. Williams may require a few games to return to his old self, but I will take that draft all day long. Not a corral fan, but the saints are a better team with those first two picks.

f Jameson was healthy he’d be the consensus #1 receiver in this draft . I’d be willing to wait on him a bit.

Didn’t he sit the bench behind the two OSU receivers?

Atl plans to use this draft to build assets and essentially tank to be in position to grab a QB next year where they think they'll be drafting in the top 5
hope a team jumps ahead of them and snatches their QB.

Callaway was an UDFA. Those guys are going to essentially never produce as top guys. I’d say he’s actually WAY overproduced considering that. He averaged 15 ypc and caught 6 tds as a 23 year old with 4 different qbs(3 shitty). You simply can expect top production from bargain bin guys.

I don't care about all that. He showed flashes here and there then disappeared for large time frames. My disappointment comes from the lack of production for someone I see has pretty decent talent regardless of him being drafted or not. All you're telling me is to not expect much from him.

I agreed all season on this pick until that playoff game and he got completely shut out and was a non-factor.
