Was wondering why he got released, cap space it seems:
"When the Eagles took the field for the start of OTAs, linebacker Mychal Kendricks was not with the team. Doug Pederson said only Michael Bennett and Darren Sproles hadn’t reported.
Kendricks was in the building according to the Eagles PR department, but apparently, there was a specific reason he was not in the practice bubble. The Eagles are going to release Kendricks, according to a report by ESPN’s Adam Schefter."

Eagles releasing veteran LB Mychal Kendricks, per source. Kendricks spent six years with Eagles; he’s not expected to be unemployed long.

Kendricks was set to cost the Eagles $7.6 million in cap money if he was on the roster this year. Releasing him saves them $4.4 million in cap space and leaves Philadelphia with $3.2 million in dead money. If the Eagles designate Kendricks’ release as a post-June 1 cut, they will save $6 million.
The decision to release Kendricks is odd given how newly signed linebacker Paul Worrilow went down with a knee injury and was taken off the field with an air cast on his right knee on a cart."

We should after we make a cut or 2. Stupar would be a guy that we could save some money from. I doubt we can afford more than like 3...maybe 4 mil this year though.
He would be a damn good addition. I wouldn't be opposed to signing him to a 3 year deal if we can get a decent discount.

I was really liking the competition at linebacker going into training camp but adding Kendricks would definitely solidify that group even more.

I had looked at PFF too
Rated: Overall 86.0 - which I think it's slightly below the highest level of elite.

Dang him/Davis/Robertson with Anzalone/Klein/Teo backing them up would be stellar

They lose a lb'er and cut a good one?
Something is not being said cause that's not a lot of money for a good dependable player especially when you lose a starter.

there were rumors they've been trying to trade him the past couple years right? I mean worrilow wasn't going to be a starter, but now they've lost a starter and a potential backup.
Apparently they also released him this morning, before the worrilow injury...so could be just shite timing too.
Also, gotta remember that Philly plays a lot of that 4-2-5 nickel package, so the need for a 3rd linebacker (Hicks-Bradham were their starters) that costs 7.6m or whatever might be too "rich".

Exactly. 3rd LB in today’s NFL doesn’t play that much.
Kendricks would become our #2 LB who is always on the field though, so makes sense.
As good a job as Craig and Te’o have done, they were signed as journeyman special teamers and backups. Saints have needed a significant athletic upgrade at LB for years. Don’t get me started on Klein.

Not that I necessarily disagree with the sentiment you're trying to get across but neither were backups (both started far more games than not) nor journeymen (both only one prior team).
They are both mid grade starters, but they could definitely be upgraded upon.
As for Klein, I fully agree he should have stayed a backup. I thought it was crazy we gave him starter but was willing to see what he could do.

Can always extend Cam, Loomis has at his back pocket as well.
