I consider championships to be judgment calls just like pass interference.
That makes the Saints NFC champions in 2018 just like LSU is national champions in 2011.
unfortunately there cannot be a judgment call on the Saints being super bowl champs in 2018 because they didn't play in the game.
The New England Patriots are the super bowl champs for 2018 in my opinion.

How many pro sport players go broke when they retire? Almost 80% NFL, and 60% NBA. They can be bought. Add in that the majority are criminals, drug abusers, gamblers, etc. It's recipe ripe for manipulating them.

You just proved my point. If the league was paying them to keep their mouth shut they wouldn’t be broke. These broke retired players would be running to tell all for a quick pay day.

They still get a pension. The leagues could cut that out. You don't bite the hand that feeds you. There is no pay day for outing a league.
What proof can they provide besides word of mouth? Tim Donaghy was labeled crazy and a pathological liar. Of course they will say anything to protect the business.
You have obviously watched plenty of ball, how can you watch the crap that goes on and not come to the conclusion that something else is going on behind the scenes? It's scripted to a certain degree. They tell you every Sunday it's scripted. The first 15 plays= the whole game. "you couldn't script it any better"
Coincidence? Nope.
The players don't even need to know about it. You can script the whole game without them knowing but get a few in on it, and you can pretty much nail the score.

The Pats got damn lucky getting to play a team that didn’t belong and froze like deer in the headlights.
I would absolutely buy an NFC Champs shirt and want a banner in the Dome. We won the conference but weren’t invited to the super bowl.

You really sound crazy lol. Do you believe 9/11 was completely an inside job and bombs blew up the buildings? That’s the level of coverup you are talking about. Thousands and thousands of players, coaches, front office, people who work in the nfl league offices.... yet not a single person has said anything. To think professional players who have spent their whole life competing to get to the point of winning a Super Bowl would just let that slide is also crazy. I truly believe there are some crooked refs and players who are gamblers and have shaved points to cover spreads. That’s the degree to it I believe. I don’t know anyone who thought Tim Donaghy was crazy. He was/is a degenerate gambler.

Also fellow saints fans are the only fans around the league I’ve seen take it to this extent. And like I’ve always said if that game was rigged it would have gone down in a much for subtle way than the biggest missed call of maybe all time.

The NFL owners can have the games fixed. Get the OC from team A and the DC from team B to swap playbooks. You now have a scripted game with very few in on it. The players have no clue. The HC wouldn't need to know either. There are a million ways they could do it.
The NFL can blatantly rig a game without consequence. They have been doing it for decades so they know the fans just get pissed and next year it's forgotten.

The Super Bowl is an award. Pierre Thomas didn't pick up the first down in the NFCCG. You can go back and watch it. It was given to us by the NFL. I watched the Redskins get 5 downs vs us years ago. I'm telling you these games are not a competition between 2 even teams. Yes the players work their arse off, but they get paid win or lose. To some it does not matter. If you think all these players want to win I have a bridge to sell you. Every player drafted would pull an Eli Manning if they wanted to win because certain teams don't bring enough money to have them win. Jacksonville will never win a SB because they can't sell enough merchandise. This game is a business. It only looks like a sport. The players know it. They tell you in every interview.
Joe Namath guaranteed a victory because he knew he would win. The Colts players figured out something was wrong when their QBs were throwing to the Jets. The AFL NFL merger was a fixed game by the league to generate interest. It goes back that far. You can claim I'm nuts, I don't care.
I've watched this game since I could walk. I used to wonder why these idiots made dumb decisions. Then I got older. You think it's a coincidence they are under the same umbrella as the WWE?
