Yes.. But 2 years when?? after Brees? the next 2? We've been lucky enough to have an Elite QB.. Grayson doesn't strike me as that. Though I'm also not saying he couldn't be..
Also,this team has Waaaaayy more issues than that though...
If the light doesn't come on down in NOLA then the Saints will be a non-factor for the rest of Brees time here..

Well, to be fair, since 2000 there haven't been very many black QBs taken in the first round that have panned out.
Right now the list is Cam Newton and MAYBE Michael Vick (pre-jail time) and Byron Leftwich. (Russel Wilson was taken in the 3rd round). Currently RGIII is looking like a big bust and the jury is still out on Teddy Bridgewater.
Certainly you can't say those guys have failed strictly because of the color of their skin, but the raw facts show (for whatever reason) black first round QBs have generally not been very wise picks over the last 15 years. Draw your own conclusions as to why

actually according the stats he's not. He has ability with his legs which Russell didn't and they are about equally comparable passing (on a per game comparison because he hasn't played a full season) and Cardele is a pretty cool intellectual guy. In what way is he worse? He'd be better than Grayson
