Payton is saying it was more to do with the surgery than something he did. Payton keeps things real. He called out MT when he was being a bitch. Doesn’t sound like he wasn’t working to get back. Quite the opposite

He’s also said several times in this presser that Mike was working his arse off in rehab

I think the broken relationship angle is overblown

Trade him. Get whatever you can but dump his salary.

Then go balls to the wall for Rodgers and Adams.

Trade him for what exactly? And who will pick up that salary. If Rodgers is in the running, which I doubt he is, we will need him.

Some of yall have jumped the shark.

Injuries are covered by collective bargaining agreement.

We (us fans) don't know for sure what has 100% happened. We can guess is all right now. If the Saints determine he's been sandbaggin they will try to dump his arse anyway possible and asap. If they think this is all just bad luck, bad docs or bad ankle he's not going anywhere.

That sucks. Hope we can get him back on the field next year at 100%.

Someone will give a 2nd and 3rd.

His deal is structured so that the Saints bear most of the burden for 2022. If they’re going to trade him, now is the time.

The saints do not need him now, and neither would Rodgers.

I think MT13 haters and defenders can all admit this is beyond frustrating. NOLA fans will have your back through a lot of shite until it seems like you don’t want to be here. That’s the ultimate slap in the face to our fan base

Yep.

That's a good "take" on the situation.

Our ability to control our emotions of frustration and anger is going to be challenged.

I wonder whether MT13's regard for the Saints' medical treatment team grew to be so negative that it caused him to "quit", if indeed he has quit on the Saints.

Wow. It will be very difficult indeed for the whole truth to be revealed. We might never know.

Well, apparently He made one.

There should be exactly zero shock value with this news. He was never coming back this season and deep down, we all knew it. Therefore, the anger is misplaced.

Probably with him in my opinion. But it's close.

Once he's healthy they should explore his worth on the open market.
