I'm just saying that IF we have to lose Jimmy, the world isn't over. There are other options and we COULD find a way to be better.
I couldn't agree more. I fact I think we have significantly more potential in getting a bounty of picks for him plus the caps pace to sign two starters.. I'd assume that a graham replacement would be snagged with on of the SIX top two rounders we have in the next two years and I truly trust this team/system's ability to make one of these talented young guys work. We made Dave Thomas a viable option receiving the ball in this offense, and we made a guy who played one real year of football an elite player in this offense. I LOVE graham but the smart move is to move him if being offered a kings ransom.

they offer a service that no one else offers. It isn't perfect, but it does an effective job. Certainly a better tool than any other site has to offer.
Rating - 11th worst
Receptions allowed vs. # of times in coveraqge - 2nd worst
Yards allowed per coverage snap - worst

Again, without context this is meaningless noise.
what do you mean without context? It actually matched your opinion of him in the NE game. He was abused in coverage as a rookie and the coaches didn't play him until injuries forced it
It isn't like he was ranked middle of the road. He was ranked near last. He gave up 100+ yards

And if the top player was at a 90 QB rating?
top player was Ty Law with a 46 NFL rating on 124 snaps.
next was charles woodson with 48.5 on 258 snaps
You expect a rookie to have growing pains. You made it out as he was great as a rookie. He was great in his 2nd season
Here's a thread from the end of 2009 LINK

Maybe we should move Jenkins to Free Safety and then bump this thread in a couple years when people want him moved back to corner because they forgot how bad he was.
Hahaha, I have no idea where the revisionist history of him being a good CB his rookie year came from, but it's reached critical mass and must be dealt with.

I'm assuming we can sign them for cheap. If not, then remove them from the equation of course.

Then I stand corrected. Thank you for actually providing context.

I think he would have had a better chance of making it as an outside corner. He has great hips, but just doesn't have the speed to keep up with the slot receivers in the NFL.
If he was coming out this year, people would be drooling over him as a #1 big and physical corner

So we basically have Colston and Stills as good receivers right now.
Thats about it.
I hope they can get a vet for good value perhaps a Golden tate type and draft some much needed youth/speed and not just one. I have no doubt with the depth this year you will see a 2nd WR pick late or as a UDFA out of smalltown U.

I'll admit that part of my advocacy of Jenkins is based on this.

Agreed. He'd probably go around #15.
Jenkins takes the worst angles I've ever seen. I would have always prefered him at field corner.

Good man. Lester moves the goal post so much that Jimmy can't do his celebration.

Can you imagine Brady to Graham? If i were the Patriots i would do this in a heart beat. They dont care about picks like that.

no cap space. If I were them, I'd rather get one of the top 3 TEs in the draft to pair with Gronk.

But I wasn't naming names...

Jenkins is a perfect example why I think teams should be highly cautious of projecting a player to one he did not play in college. Hand in the dirt DE to OLB, etc. The higher the round, the higher the caution.

Question: What happens if a team signs him who doesn't have a 1st round pick this year?
Say the Colts make an offer but they traded away their 2014 1st for the stud known as T-Rich. So would they give us their 2015 and 2016 1st? Can they even sign him since they don't have a first this year to give?
I know the Saints can negotiate another form of compensation, but I would think they's stand firm at wanting two 1st round picks, and one of them being this year.
Disclaimer: I personally don't think Graham is going anywhere.

Yes, if they don't have a pick this year, we would get 15 and 16.
I agree that it is unlikely that Jimmy moves. However, we should always prepare for it if he does.
