Nope, because I’ve always like Jared Goff. Accurate and doesn’t turn the ball over.
Meanwhile Carr leads the league in turnovers going back something like 5 years and was 2nd in the league in picks last year despite playing just 15 games.

Well LA didn't like him and now he is on his second team like Carr. Perhaps 2nd chances can do wonders for QB's sometimes. We had one that worked out.

If that makes you feel better and gives you hope going into the season then have at it.

That's a pretty useless metric considering I randomly looked at Mahomes, Burrow and Allen to compare. Combined, they have been in the top 10 of catchable passes 3 times. Based on last year's metrics, Josh Allen and Burrow were ranked lower than the number of starters in the league. They should be holding clip boards apparently.
Last year's rankings for the mentioned:
Pat Mahomes #14
Josh Allen #41
Joe Burrow #34
For good measure, I checked Aaron Rodgers and he's only been in the top 10 once since 2017, and as low as #47 and #49 a couple of years. Weight Carr's ranking against those guys and he has the highest average career ranking
Avg "Catchable Pass Rate" ranking for every year the below players were a starter:
Carr - 15
Mahomes - 20
Burrow - 25
Rodgers - 28
Allen - 33
I had nothing better to do while I waited for my computer to process something for work

Cool, now do turnovers and wins which were two other things I referenced when discussing how cheeks Carr is.
¯\_(. .)_/¯
There’s already 1 guy in this thread who’s taking a year hiatus in a few months because he’s banking on Carr winning a playoff game - want in?
ETA: Oh and any red zone metric of your choosing.

I genuinely dislike everything about Winston- his play, his personality. Carr is far more mature.

Ironic that you handpicked the one stat that made him look the worst. Meanwhile on the link you shared he’s top 5 in a ton of different categories. You really are looking pretty sad.

I think anybody with eyes has seen enough of that.

Carr is a middling QB who has catchable pass rates routinely ranking in the low-to-mid 20's as far as starting QBs go. To boot, he gets worse in the red zone (he's historically bad, actually).
Don't let some training camp fluff fool you. Carr is better than Winston but not by much.
No offense but, I'm going to particularly enjoy watching you slowly but surely disappear as the season wears on, as you start to run out of excuses why the team is in much better position than the previous year. Obviously you're much more a fan of your own contrarian views than a fan of this team.

quote:yes, you're right, hate the guy no matter what he does, and all he's done is be a really good, confidence building and supporting teammate that has bought into the Saints system since being there. He's grown as a person and QB in their system, he has learned a lot from Sean Payton in a short time with him. He doesn't make the dumb critical mistakes at QB like in the past with regards to his decision making, he thinks about it now as opposed to just doing it without thought. He's still prone to going back to being the old Jameis at times when he's pressing and under pressure, but not as much as before. He's just a much more confident, well-rounded QB now that should be great in the backup role because he's always confident, bubbly and is always talking it up to the QB he's paired with and helping. Last season it was Dalton, and even though he was upset about not playing at the end of the season, he was still a positively supporting, cheerful, rah rah type teammate to Dalton to get him going before games.
I think he's been incredibly mature during his stretch of time here. But some people are just going to hate this man no matter what, so have at it I guess.

Maybe you missed where I said heading into a season with Carr is a much better spot than heading into a season with Winston, lil guy? But at the end of the day I couldn’t give 2 fricks about winning what everyone says is a weak division. I care about playoff wins. And if Carr fails to get his first playoff win after a decade as a starter in this league then it’s you clowns who’ll be eating the biggest shite sandwich and don’t worry - I’ll be around to see to it that you eat it and like it with some really solid “told you bitches!”
