Why are people so excited to give a 10 million dollar offer sheet to a player coming off major ACL and MCL surgery. The Saints history of signing and drafting players with an significant injury history is starting to get old at this point

“Doctors told Meredith on Tuesday that while the ACL in the knee is torn and will require replacement, other damage is minimal. The prognosis is for a full return in perhaps as soon as eight months.“

Seems pretty positive to me and I bet the Saints doctors know a little bit more about it than you do.

You pretty much have your mind made up so this didn't really require a new thread.

The Chargers' decision on Drew Brees' future
became much cloudier Monday when the quarterback said he needs
surgery for a torn labrum in his throwing shoulder.
Brees dislocated his right shoulder in a home loss to the Denver Broncos on Saturday, and an MRI on Sunday revealed the torn cartilage.
fricking idiot front office signing players who get hurt.

As long as we don't sign Drew Brees we should be good going into next year

So you come up with one instance out of a dozen when the front office /medical staff got it right. That’s a good track record. My bad

Sorry but the greatest saint ever was signed coming off a major injury. Case closed.

Yeah that’s true but Its funny to me that the Saints seem to be attracted to players coming off injuries. More so than other teams. The Joke around town is that if a player is injured the saints will draft him or sign him

Its not looking for punch lines its looking for value. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't.

It seems like it fails far more than it works. Can’t argue that Drew Brees kinda worked out

Lower cost w higher reward. Shall we have paid 9 mill a year for a same or less talent that wasn’t coming off an ACL? Yes or no?
