He allowed18 pressures last year, the worst year of his career outside of his rookie year. Dude was falling off.

The sky is not falling. Out of every position on the line, this is the guy we can replace.

Unger was the anchor of the o-line and kept pressure from up the middle (Drew’s ancy spot).

He could have at least hinted he was near done so the organization could have prepared.

...Yes, this is alarming.

That's why guys like Eason have come in

Detillier mentioned this weeks ago as a possibility. Sure the saints knew also.

Center is just below LT for importance. This is a massive blow. I don’t even know who could be a decent replacement.

I think so.

LeRebius is still out there. Somewhere.

so we've had Jeff Faine, Jonathon Goodwin, De La Puente, and now Unger.

Kreutz had a cup of coffee in 2011.

we really haven't a main stay guy for what? more than 4 years?

trying to think.

I wonder if we explore some kind of trade with a team on the cusp of moving to a guy they've been developing.

I have NO idea what the NFL Center depth charts look like.

Clapp

quote:

In 108 total snaps, he earned a 56.1 overall grade with a 29.0 in pass blocking and 63.6 in run blocking. Something else to note, all of his OL snaps (97) came at LG with the rest (11) coming as an extra TE.

The FA market for centers this year sucks.

In the draft we could get Micheal Jordan.

And another Ohio State player

the Panthers reeled in the biggest catch too.

they got the center from the Broncos (don't know his name).

but he's supposedly pretty good (have read/heard).

I haven't seen a Broncos game in a minute.

You can get a starting OL by doing a 5th rd pick swap trade. Hopefully we do.

They will probably just bring LeRibeus back and let he, Tom and Clapp fight it out. We will be ok. They are very high on both Tom and Clapp. They didn’t keep them on the gameday roster for no reason all last year. The Redskins tried getting Tom and we blocked it by putting him on the active roster. The Saints knew this was coming it’s just a shock to us fans, not them.

Yes.
I heard on the radio he needs two separate operations to play this season

Supposedly knee and elbow, and his recovery would have put him out a whole season or more.

I’m sure he let the saints know earlier, so why didn’t we pursue the Center from the broncos? He went for a bargain to the panthers.
