Deservedly. He is terrible and makes the Saints worse.

Sproles had a few carries from a running formation on first down. But the difference is this--when Sproles is in the backfield, no defense thinks "run" first. When Ingram is in the I on first down, everybody KNOWS he is getting the football.

I'd be curious to see if he could get some "Pierre Thomas Carries" from the spread on 2nd and 9 and see if he could make something happen. If he trips and falls in the same scenario where Thomas gets 5 or 6, I'd be willing to dump him altogether.

Ingram sucks, don't get me wrong, but if he want to any other school not named Bama, 80% of these threads never happen

This is partially true

There are those jackass LSU/Saints fans(i can say that, i'm an LSU/Saints fan) that taunt Ingram and rat on him every chance they get JUST because he's from Alabama, and they are still butthurt about him/saban/pom poms/nc etc.

I think a lot of people like myself would throw anyone who was a first round pick and heisman trophy winner who has been less than productive for the last two years under the bus..Hell he could be from LSU and could have attended my high school and i'd still rat on him if he didn't produce with all this hype surrounding him

That's a moot point because HIPK stopped their football program like three years ago

In 13 snaps, he got the ball 8 times. That means 5 snaps were not to him, or pass plays. Probably most were play action passes. So they don't necessarily run him every down he's in the game.

It's not even that, brah

Ingram tries all this stop, stutter step and accelerate BS that worked for him in college and gets you gang tackled in the NFL. His running style doesn't transition well to the NFL.

The only way that stop and go shite works in the NFL is if you run a 4.2 40 like sproles or if you are already 30 yards downfield trying to outrun safeties and cornerbacks

LOLwut

Reggie Bush was hyped as shite. People started ragging on him because he ran like a crab, doing what he thought worked for him in college only to find out in the NFL that shite don't fly. It was only after we as fans kept seeing him trying and failing that we got on his arse. Even then i rooted for him, and always knew he was a dangerous KO/PR guy..just never thought he was meant to be a 1st string RB

People also forget that the city and the franchise were fresh off Katrina that year, right? That was an inspirational pick and I thought it was a great choice.

That's great

I still don't think he's a quality 1st string RB. Or at least wasn't while he was with the Saints

In the grand scheme of things? Yeah, i guess it was a good choice to get a big hype playmaker from out west, sort of put some energy in a tired, depleted fanbase

I still wanted Mario Williams

We need a guy who has more explosiveness than Ingram..Shouldn't be too hard to find in the offseason. Think Khiry Robinson is our guy to complement PT and Sproles?

The constant love affair with Roman Harper over the years dispels this theory.

I bagged on Devery as much for dropping passes as I did on Harper for dropping ints that hit him in the hands.

I don't think that's the case with me. Once you put on the black and gold I don't care if you went to Al Quida Tech.

Half this board goes ape shite any time someone mentions an LSU player as a draft prospect. They would hate on Ingram regardless.
