I'd be curious to find out how this board would behave if Ingram had gone to LSU

Ingram sucks, don't get me wrong, but if he want to any other school not named Bama, 80% of these threads never happen

Ingram is the worst RB to ever play the game.

Hey Breesus, would you support giving Robinson some carries, just to see how he does?

Hey elprez, yes i would

I said in some other thread in response to LE that Ingram's best runs were when Ivory was active and running well. Might as well see what Robinson can do.

Imagine Jordan Jefferson getting picked up by the Saints.

You would hear the same criticisms.

Right now, Mark Ingram's performance has proven that Pierre Thomas is our man. Just keep running Pierre and if he needs a breather, put Ingram or whomever else is dressed in for a play or two.

that has absolutely nothing to do with my dislike for him. I wouldn't care if played ball at Hitler's Institute of Puppy Killing provided he could play worth a shite. Ingram can't. He's a short yardage back who sucks in short yardage situations. Fat frick can't even overpower a cornerback

The Reggie Bush hate focused on two team-related questions: was he worth the #2 overall pick, and did he run sideways too much?

I am VERY disappointed in Ingram's performance, but the second you mention that you saw him cheering on the sidelines for Bama, you need to go away

I don't care where he went if he produces. He is not. I mean, he's supposed to be the "power back" and he can't even fall forward. He goes backwards literally every time he gets tackled

I think most of the hate is b/c he was a first round pick, not b/c he went to Bama. I'd love to have Julio Jones on this team. Or Trent Richardson. Or a number of other Bama players. Not Mark Ingram.

FWIW, I've made every excuse for him. The truth is, he simply isn't a good running back. And I don't think it has to do with the system. He's had chances and has failed.

That's exactly what they are doing with him anyway. Defenses are defending him accordingly. He waltzes out to the huddle and they stack the box.

Indeed. And I'll add to the draft pick part that where he was drafted is not his fault. It wasn't his bright idea for the Saints to draft back into the first round and select Ingram. That's squarely on the Saints.

That's not what they do. I saw the snap breakdowns and Sproles had the most, then Thomas then Ingram. Ingram's snaps were far lower than the other two backs, yet Ingram had high carries. I think he had 13 offensive snaps against Tampa Bay and I would venture to guess he had at least 10 carries in the game.

There's no way in hell he should have gotten goal line carries at the end of the half. That should have been Pierre Thomas. And for frick's sake, the offensive line needs part of that blame, too.

ETA: Just checked...8 carries.
