I know its ESPN, but the football analysts, Shannon Sharpe, Ryan Clarke, and Bart Scott all agreed his offense is archaic, out of date, and he is set in his ways. People are dragging him a good bit.

He had already sat out almost two years and for players and even coaches thats a long time.
He wanted Miami and San Diego it seems. Denver Co is not a bad 3rd choice especially when you throw 18-20 million per year on top of that cake.
I don't feel anything for the guy but I do hope they keep losing due to our 2nd round pick.

Belichick has been exposed as well. Without Brady, his teams have been pretty bad
I don't put Belichick and Payton in the same category. Payton was carried moreso by Brees than Belichick by Brady.
Let' compare seasons from 2006-2021 (Payton's tenure in New Orleans).
Belichick had double digit wins in 16 of 17 seasons (3 seasons without Brady) and made the playoffs in 14 of 16 seasons (11-5 and 7-9 in the 2 years he missed).
Payton had double digit wins in 9 of 15 seasons (1 season without Brees) and made the playoffs in 9 of 15 seasons (7-9 4 times, 9-8, and 8-8 in the years he missed).
Payton missed the playoffs 3 years in a row (with losing records) with a prime Drew Brees. That's terrible.

Russ was never that good, he was on a team that was loaded with stars on both sides of the ball. All he needed to do was not frick it up.

I mean people bag on Carmichael, and rightfully so, but Pete is running Sean’s offense. Not as well as Sean but any complains about scheme, lack of motion and play action, is in large part because Sean’s offense wasn’t built around that.
Sean is a very good coach and play caller and had a pretty innovating scheme and offensive mind for the late 2000’s and 2010’s. Our late Brees era success was more talent/defense combined with culture that Payton had instilled over ten plus years and Brees running his system to absolute perfection. Not any particular scheme or play design advantage that could be imported over to Denver easily

I am pretty sure. Brees read the defense. He killed play from Payton. He called hid own plays.
