Easy answer. If Barnett or even taco at 11 take a Corner if we took someone else that's not a Corner take a Corner or best available pass rusher

in terms of need, i'm going with Cook... White isn't any better than the other young guys we have at CB... with Brees at QB we don't necessarily need to go WR or TE at 32... we can get a guy a round or two later and be basically in the same spot in terms of production...

damn, Cook at 32 is such tremendous value, I think I'd have to pull the trigger on him and hope White is there at 42

Cook or Davis

There's not much behind Ingram and it would provide the one two punch we haven't had since Deuce and Reggie. Although we have a stud in Michael Thomas and a solid guy in Snead, the departure of Cooks leaves a hole as far as a guy that you have to account for and can. I don't think Ginn is a guy you can rely on as a pass catcher.

Edit: Reggie and PT were a good combo as well. So was Sproles and PT.

Downvote all you want. Tight end is arguably the hardest transition for a non-QB.

Tight ends don't have early impacts.

i remember one year the Saints picked Irv Smith in the 1st round.

yeah, that didn't work out so fricking good.

really the only TE's I can think of that seemed to make a difference as rookies where Shockey (Giants) Gronk (Pats) Aaron Hernandez (Pats).

Jimmy Graham was making an impact by the second half of the season. By his second year he had 1300+ yards and a boatload of TDs. So the last TE that the saints drafted in the early rounds made a huge early career impact in this system.

Recently Zach Ertz and Julius Thomas. Ertz had over 800 yards for the Eagles and Thomas has double digit TDs his rookie year.

White would be great for the return game.

Say it ain't so. He gave everyone anxiety returning punts at LSU.

Of options
WR Corey davis
RB Dalvin cook
CB Tre White
TE David Njoku

Cook is great value, but I'm not very high on him. Davis & Njoku shouldn't be there at 32, & would be great value as well. Tre White might fall to 42, & there should be a few other good options for CB at 42.

That being said...I'd go Corey White in this scenario.

I think we can get a good RB in the mid rounds.

I posted this in another thread, but if we don't give up a 2018 mid rounder in a trade for Butler...I'd trade into the 4th & draft a RB. Giving up our 6th & a 2018 4th rounder to do so(might even have to give up the 7th as well). CSP has commented numerous times how he loves the RB's in the 3rd & 4th round this year. A few of them should fall as well...it always happens with RB's in every recent draft.

Ertz had around 450 and julius Thomas didn't play his rookie year. Yall are reaching. Graham, Gronk, Hernandez didn't make huge impacts until 2nd year and they are cream of the crop at like I said earlier, a finicky position to draft. Not to mention if he did make an impact like Graham in year 2 then it'll be with 2018 Brees not 2011. Probably the dumbest suggestion I've seen on here considering the money we dumped in another tight end who doesn't block well and Njoku is thought to need some time.

dude Gronk caught 10 TD's his rookie year.

I don't care if half of them where from inside the 5.. that's still significant.

same with Shockey as a rookie for the Giants. He could block just as well as catch.

Edit: Shockey only had 2 TD's as a rookie but he changed the nature of that whole offense as a rookie. He made his mark.

Thanks for proving the point. Gronk when healthy is arguably one of the best football players ever. I stand by what I said.

Yea, definitely can wait on a TE unless OJ is there at 32.
As for me, I take Corey Davis....you can grab one of the Florida corners in round 2 and get just as much, if not more, value out of them as you would White.....and I can't stand UF. lol But we need to find a young receiver to pair with Thomas and start grooming him to be the #2. He'll be the 3rd or 4th option this year with Thomas, Snead, and a vet receiver (Ginn or another FA) accumulating most of the looks. I don't need to repeat Davis' accolades since we all read draft overviews. So we all know what we're getting with him.
Cook won't get to 32.

Any option other than White. Morris Claiborne 2.0. No thanks!
