These are the games the Saints pre Payton/Breese would lay an egg.

How about we continue to lose so we don't have to deal with Allen anymore?

Rams are fighting for playoff spot and we are traveling on a short week, so I seriously doubt we win that one. If we lose to the Giants, I think all playoff hopes are completely out the window.

Things need to change regardless.

Tomorrow's game has no bearing on whether or not changes are needed.

Allen and this entire staff need to fired and Carr needs to be benched until his contract expires and we cut him.

People acting like we are going to make a playoff run are delusional and deserve the shite show that this team will be if Allen is retained.

Hoping we lose every game for the remainder of the season. Allen needs to go.

Allen was hired to preserve the culture supposedly

Allen had complete control to do almost anything he wanted.

He and Loomis talked Carmichael who didn't want the job into being the OC. Carmichael being awful isn't an indictment against Carmichael its against the people who campaigned to put him there.

Allen knew he needed a QB...he pursued Deshaun and landed Carr.

Carr has not been an upgrade and is a detriment to the culture we supposedly were fighting to protect. Deshaun based on his time in Cleveland would have been an even bigger miss. More cap and picks included.

Allen's calling card has been defense...which is starting to slip

In addition Drafts, trades, and offseason acquisitions are a part of the job. We have been missing on draft picks, we have been on the wrong side of every trade, and even our FA adds haven't been hits

Allen has failed at every level.

This isn't a make or break situation. We are broken.

A new hire at HC won't fix us but staying with Allen may set us even further back

Allen won't draft a QB I'm round 1 during his lame duck off season. This is a draft where we should try to take a chance on one of them if they fall to us or fall enough for us to move up to grab one.

Allen has no direction for the team and his imitation of what it was is a gross failure as well

This is such Madden mentality. The Bengals have drafted top 10, often top 5, at least 10 times over the last 25 years. 15 times with back to back #1 picks over 30 years. The Browns drafted top 10 in 13 of the last 25 years. They had multiple #1 overall and multiple multi pick 1st rounds. Hell, the Jets have drafted top 10 picks 7 of the last 10 years.

Here’s a list of teams who have had the most #1 draft picks:

Indianapolis Colts 7
Los Angeles Rams 7
Tampa Bay Buccaneers 5
Cleveland Browns 5
Arizona Cardinals 5
Detroit Lions 4
Atlanta Falcons 4
Buffalo Bills 4
Cincinnati Bengals 4
New England Patriots 4

Now let’s look at the good teams and if they got there by tanking. Chiefs, didn’t tank. Eagles, didn’t tank. 49ers, didn’t tank. Cowboys, didn’t tank. Ravens, didn’t tank.

This isn’t the NBA, tanking doesn’t work in the NFL. It just makes you end up debating who was the better QB, Akili Smith or David Klingler, or Johnny Manziel or Baker Mayfield or Brandon Weeden or Brady Quinn.

Love this post. Most of the “fans” in here are pretty low IQ unfortunately. They think that losing out and picking 16th instead of 23rd somehow ensures that we will draft a hall of famer

it DOES work in the NBA. correct.

get a GM and a HC worth a frick and do not tell me having more top picks would not help. and no guarantees. but you have to try something.

the road the saints are on is going nowhere. money issues. cannot cut certain players. just get a bunch of 1st through 3rd round picks.

good luck now having the money to sign FA's and getting the draft picks you need. and with this ownership and front office.

saints have no 2nd, 3rd or 4th round picks next year as it stands. fn joke.

HEY WE GONNA REBUILD WITH 7th ROUNDERS!

THEY ALL WILL BE MARQUES COLSTONS!

oh wait saints even traded away the 7th rounder for ingram

Additionally, here are the picks they’re currently scheduled to make in the following years:

2025: Rounds 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6
2026: Rounds 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7

imagine now trading some and adding more 1st through 3rd rounders to these drafts? then we might be getting somehere.
