Quite simple. They didn’t sign him to a contract, so he was free to sign elsewhere. Not the complicated.

Because Dennis Allen was clueless about the talent he had in Elliss and Baun and played them out of position and sparingly at that. They wanted more playing time than just special teams.

We chose Werner > Baun and Elliss. Makes me even more pissed the dude is still on the roster and we haven't upgraded from him.
Not because Werner is bad but because he's mediocre and every LB we let go since acquiring him has passed him up elsewhere.
Its more likely we keep Werner and let go of Stutsman > upgrade Werner.
