PJ was literally a spectator because his role was not needed in that regard.

He needed to be where Crawley is and Crawley where Marcus was.

Marcus should have been the last line of defense AFTER two lines.

This is absolutely insane. I’m glad none of you coach. What a wreck of a team that would be. Dude misses a play and the whole damn defense is fricked up. Wat

The argument others are laying out is that having PJ in no man's land and only Williams able to make a play is better than having both trying to make the play, AND that those who are knowledgeable about football would tell you just having the 1 guy is better.

No clue what is going on in here.

Some of the defenses these posters wanted to see on last play would require us to have 16 players on defense

, cover 2 man allows you to rush 4 and cover 3 man allows you rush 3.

I’m asking myself this right now. Two or 3 dolts saying run man under 3 deep when all the offense needs is about 10-15 yards for an out of bounds play. Like wtf am I reading right now

I'm glad to hear you know more about football than those dudes saying literally the exact opposite of you, good for you.

Are you going to attempt to explain why you think it was better to have 1 guy trying to make a play instead of the 2 guys in the scheme everyone else is saying we should have ran?

My mickey mouse defense would have allowed a db to make the play, then a safety if the db fails, and then another safety would have been there to at least stop the long td. Hell, in man under cover 3, we win the game if Diggs tries to run for a td there after williams whiffs

Your football knowledge defense allowd for one single player to make the play

In what football universe are you allowed to know what the offense is going to run? Of course the dude was too shallow, but that’s on him and his lack of awareness not the defense that was called.

Its actually 3.

The db, the safety on that side of the field, and the safety in the middle would be able to make a late play too.

You need to rewatch the play dude.

They were at the 39 yardline, they needed 20 yards just to make it a 58 yard attempt.

Any play long enough to get into FG range would have involved one of the 3 deep safeties, you don't actually disagree with that, right?

Are you legit slow?

You dont need to know what the offense is running.

10 yards doesn't even get them to midfield.

Not only that, but you put Marcus in his traditional role as the last line coming from the numbers and not have him inside the numbers where he's probably played 5 times the entire season.

To say someone is in no mans land based on a specific play that happened and say you would put him elsewhere is the definition of thinking you know what is going to be ran. No fault to the players who are actually lacking awareness, fault is on the defense that was ran. Wat

Dude has to be trolling. He's a decent poster, but he can't be this dense.

Cover 3 man is a mickey mouse defense, but this is well drawn up?

We've got 3 defenders inside of the numbers for 3 routes, only one of which can actually hurt us. We've got two LBs on the field which makes zero fricking sense. We've got no one over the deep middle of the field.

There are defenders that weren't used AND didn't need to be used give the situation. You can draw up a better defense than that.
