If he throws it towards the sidelines, Williams only shot would have been to go for the ball in a one on one situation there.
If he throws it towards the sideline Marcus makes contact with Diggs. Did you not see he missed the tackle wide left?

quote:You think the Vikings needed 10 yards and man under 3 deep is a mickey mouse defense, let's ease up on the "better and better" stuff.
So now the qualifier is perfect defense. This keeps getting better and better
Not a single person agrees with you right now, you're on your own...much like Marcus Williams was.

You're just being dense. Getting beat in cover 3 man requires two/three people to frick up, not just one.

With our formation, if keenum makes a decent throw, Williams only play would have been to go through the back of Diggs.....

quote:Why not? That would be great if the Vikings threw the ball 10 yards.
Also, I tend to think you can't just concede the 10 yard out route
If they go out of bounds quickly, there's still only :05 or so left, so the Vikings would need a Hail Mary.
Throwing 10 yards would have been great for the Saints, it would have taken away any option for a FG.

This thread has 27 downvotes and 14 upvotes but okay. 10-15 yards and a run after the catch is easily conceivable. You thinking your defense would work to perfection is not conceivable

frick man
frick
I have no idea how it all happened.
The formation, plus Williams derping, is almost surreal

Also if he makes contact, that's a PI penalty.

I see a lot of penalties with man under cover 3. Nice if game

we are going to see this goddamn play for the next 20 years too. Every time we get close to the playoffs, it will be a highlight.

quote:Why do you have the entire Saints secondary playing 40 yards off the 10 yard catch? THat's the only way your assertion is logical.
10-15 yards and a run after the catch is easily conceivable
quote:No, I'm thinking, along with everyone else, there would be 2 guys there to make a play on Diggs, as opposed to 1. This has been stated to you by multiple posters probably 10 times, and you haven't once refuted or disagreed with it, you just have left it alone each time.
You thinking your defense would work to perfection is not conceivable

Because with all day to throw the chances of 3 guys fricking up is highly probable

There were 2 guys able to make a play on Diggs, Marcus took the other out. I have already stated you’d be hard stretched to have the two other safeties come over to save the day if the near safety was beat how Marcus was beat.

I take my chances with an nfl safety making that play, do you not agree?

Yeah, I guess it depends on the timing. I'm not sure if they can get three plays out of 10 seconds, which is what they needed.
