See?
This list shows that this shite happens all of the time to the Saints.

The part that always grinds my gears about this game is Payton's half arse attempt to get the 1st down before the Lutz FG. In the moment I knew getting that 1st was going to be the difference between a win and a loss. Obviously didn't predict the Williams whiffed tackle but I had seen this story with the saints all too often.

I think that some other close games with the 49ers from the late 80's are missing.

The Big Ben plays were brutal to me as a kid

Lots of pain in that article

Man I remember vividly where I was for every one of those that occurred during my lifetime. Had to deal with some real heartbreakers in there.

I have developed PTSD now. There for Big Ben, there for the Raiders on Monday Night. Present for Flipper ball, saw Hebert tank the playoff game to Philly. The pain comes back....it hits you in waves.

Does anybody remember Ken Stabler's 1984 choke job against the Cowboys?

I do. Blew a 27-6 lead. That was his last game because he retired after the game.
