LSU fans being the key phrase, Saints fans may or may not be LSU fans. Those that are not LSU fans or that are able to separate the 2 don't care where Archies kids went to school.

Its funny that we don't blame say Reggie Wayne or Ed Reed for going out of state, we blame the coaches poor recruiting for not getting those guys. But with the Mannings, its held against them for not going to LSU. Never mind when Peyton was coming that Curley Hallman was our coach or that we already had a top 10 national ranked player at QB.

Does he not live in New Orleans? Did his kids not go to school in New Orleans until college? He played at Ole Miss. Of course he's not a LSU fan.

This thread is ridiculous.

Another thing the idiots forget is A LOT of SAINTS fans/ticket holders live in Mississippi. I mean damn the SAINTS only hold their training camp in Jackson,MS. I guess they believe all SAINTS fans and ticket holders are from Louisiana.

ETA: Archie is still a SOUTHERN guy no matter if he's from Louisiana or Mississippi. The SAINTS represent the GULF COAST, not just Louisiana.

LSU fans being the key phrase

"Moronic LSU fans" being an even more key phrase

You are correct. The reverence or, as some call it, lovefest of/with Archie continues. There is nothing wrong with it. In fact, we embrace it. You just don't get it. Go back to The Rant now.

My apologies. I didn't realize you were in on Manning family discussions.

I've always liked Archie because he seemed like a nice person. But you have to admit that having a guy with a career 26.3 win percentage as the "face" of your franchise summarizes how bad the Saints were...

I watched the Saints back then. When given a supporting cast on offense Manning put up the numbers. Unfortunately, he was unable to play defense. And the defense was awful. You really can't blame Manning for the winning percentage.

I am, I talk to them everyday before I wake up.

Peyton tells me that he's not playing in the SB out of respect for Louisiana's flagship university, and in order to make peace with the state he's giving all of us a share of his salary this year.

Eli tells me he's still not sure where his binky went and frets about it everyday, and I'm quoting "frets" here. Archie is secretly the 4th QB on the roster.

Olivia is still not aware that she has 3 sons, only aware of two.

Just going by my personal experience. If you dont' believe me, you're a racist.

These are other NFL players born in New Orleans that we should "hate" for not going to LSU. Not to mention ones born in Baton Rouge, Donaldsonville, Shreveport etc.

Neil Smith Nebraska
Ashley Ambrose Ms Valley St
Maurice Hurst Southern
Aeneas Williams Southern
Leroy Hoard Michigan
Kordell Stewart Colorado
Patrick Surtain Southern Miss
Marshall Faulk San Diego St
Reggie Wayne Miami
Matt Forte Tulane
BenJarvus GreenEllis Ole Miss

I know there are many more but I'm getting tired of typing.

LA's Lovefest with the Mannings

As someone who knows all of the Mannings I can say with confidence that they all love NO and the state. I know Archie and Cooper better than Peyton and Eli, but I KNOW them all. Cooper is married to my parent's best friends daughter. In fact, my parents were with Cooper and his wife this entire weekend at his in-laws weekend house in Covington. Assumptions are a really shitty way to make opinions. They have all done more for the state and city than just about anyone who posts on all of TD.com.

Thank you. I'll always respect that family. One of the best football family if not THE BEST football family in pro football.

I'm fairly certain that Archie has done MUCH more for the state than you have.

I don't have to have any clue as to who you are to, and I'm 99.9% sure that statement is correct.

It doesn't validate that you say Archis sucked as a QB. I have seen NOTHING from you proving this.

Idolizing a guy who led your team to a winning percentage of less than 27% is comical. He sucked as QB for most of his stay in NO. Teams follow leaders,he was no leader.
