Did we ever find out why Deke was fired? I always assumed gambling issues, for some reason.

I did not have a problem with Deke but he occasionally would get angry with callers though. Someone knows the reason he was let go but it hasn’t leaked in what six years ?

Deke was awful and a douche to the caller. Garic was 80% as bad.

I remember he started one show with a poll question. OK. But then ripped every single caller who answered it

I wonder if the show is still going to be from 4-8 pm? Seems like a 4 hour show is too long, maybe they should do a 2 hour show and then another show for 2 hours.

They need 4 hours just to actually get any callers and guests in with how many commercials they have and how much Bobby talks.
I like the show but for every hour you get 30 minutes of news and commercials. Then another 20 of Bobby talking. He will ask a guest a question then answer the question himself and change into a whole different question before he ever let's the guest get a word in. It's kind of funny but also annoying at the same time.

I have never heard a professional literally take 45 seconds to ask a question. Bobby and T-Bob like to hear themselves on the radio.

Then they would need a host for each show, considering how infrequently they hire sports talk hosts that seems unlikely.

Well that explains why he wasn’t on today.
My guess is his contract ended 12/31 and they could not agree on a new one.
Usually when a nexus person leaves on good terms they give him a goodbye.
As far as a replacement… Hoss.
He’s a good reporter and spent a long time as an anchor. He’s great at on air reporting.
He’s freaking awful at okay by play. Move him into Garic’s spot and find another play by play guy.
I don’t think Mike D wants that full time gig. He’d probably have to cut back or give up on his draft analysis which I understand pays his bills.

They don’t go on fridays. Mondays during football and one hour on Tuesdays is a different format. Plus they run short on lsu basketball game days.
