I'd take an L tonight if it means DA gets fired and Klint Kubiak steps in to run the team

I’m sure Kubiak would be very high on the list of possible replacements after the season, but I’m not sure they would name him interim if they fire DA in season. Or if he’d even want to be. He’s not gonna want those future “L”s attached to him.

How often do interim HCs revert back to their previous position following the season? I would think we would promote someone that is expendable to interim HC.

Pierce did it with the Raiders this year. It’s happened before, but usually the anomaly, for sure.

For sure. We wouldn’t want that stink on the potential new coach just like they wouldn’t want it. Much harder sell to the fan base and get them excited if you’re just taking the “interim” tag off the dude who finished the season 3-7 or whatever.

Honestly, firing DA mis season would probably feel good for a second, but as losses keep mounting, that’d go away. May as well keep him, if not all season, at least until the final couple weeks. Let him wear all these upcoming “L”s on his permanent record.

He was a hot commodity after week two. I don’t know about right now.

I just want the catharsis

Does an interim guy who is say a veteran positional coach get a pay bump when a HC gets canned? You would think they would for wearing the losses a shite team accumulates and knowing they’re likely out after the year.

He shouldn't be. Not sure why people want to promote him. Keep Allen until the end of the season then fire everyone with a pulse and start fresh....if Allen is a loser why promote the loser that the loser hired....especially when the offense hasn't been good once Hill went down.

Why specifically do you want Kubiak to be interim head coach. Again, be specific.

The only one on staff that has HC potential but id probably prefer to keep him overseeing the offense to see if he’s even good at that first

I think that Kubiak has done well considering what he's had to work with.

When the team was fully healthy, the results were nothing that anyone could have ever expected.

True that both those teams that we beat one of them is horrible and the other one is probably going to end up being a middling team.

But even in those losses to the eagles and to the falcons, the offense scored a touchdown late in the game to put them ahead and it was the defense that ended up falling apart at the end.

What I mean is think about some of those losses that the Saints had last year to the Texans into the jaguars where they couldn't punch the ball in the end zone late and it cost them.

So I think there has been some improvement but I'm going to have to see more.

And you might say we have a lot of guys hurting. That's true.

But you find out a lot about the coaches that you have when the pickings are slim.

Doesn’t matter, he’s never getting another nfl head coaching job again.

Maybe if the wins were against better competition.

Likely to happen if DA takes DC role again. Odd, but makes more sense than what they’re doing now.
