I realize he's just an UDFA, but it seems weird to me to bring in a TE who basically weighs 300lbs. Is it possible that the coaches see him as an athletic OL and are just bringing him in to see if the potential is there? I just don't see a TE that big in our offense.

I noticed that as well. I would assume an OT prospect but who knows.

Good point. I probably should have kept it to myself.

Instead of using a lineman as an extra blocker like Streif was used during the Super Bowl year, they can just use a really big TE who could actually catch.

Maybe a potential convert to C. We could use some depth there.

I'm not sure about that. Traditionally, your center is adjusting blocking schemes based on what he sees on the line up until he snaps the ball. It is probably one of the most mentally challenging positions to play in football, and like any position of that description requires a lot of time learning the position. I could see him coming in as OT or TE on Goal line plays.
