Kamara was banged up last year and largely misused. I expect him to get his body right this afternoon and still be a big part of the offense this year. He can still be a pass catcher and play out of the slot … watch for some 2RB packages

I agree with you in that I don’t think he is completely washed up (assuming he’s healthy), though he’s also not going to be the AK of even 2-3 years ago. The offensive line was awful last year and the bulk of his games were with Rattler at QB. I think with Shough and an offensive line that is healthy and plays relatively well, AK can be productive.

I agree with all of this. He and Etienne have a similar skill set. I can see something like a 75/25 split working out for both of them. Word is Etienne is better in pass pro than Kamara.

Kamara had a -.7 yards per expected carry last year which factors in the blocking and space available.

He sucks at inside zone which is a feature in Kellen’s run game.

I honestly would rather cut him and move on w Etienne And what we have, maybe draft a rb in mid rounds

He obviously won't be here.

Wasn't Kamara extended? He will be here. In what role is the question.

Even a 100% healthy Kamara won't get you rookie season Kamara. He is on the downward slope but still could be used along with Etienne to be a productive backfield.

I like AK but with Neal looking like a good second to Travis, Miller and Estime plus drafties I just don’t see much of a spot.

Yeah I’d rather go with the younger legs at this point.

The only addition I’d possibly like to see is maybe a middle round scatback type. Something different that could turn into a weapon like the little Wake Forrest guy.

I’d like to see them both in the backfield a few times/series.

Kamara is still a matchup problem for LBs in open space.

That potentially makes for some good motion, misdirection, and mismatches.

I have no problem with a bunch of RBs (we haven't even drafted yet) competing in camp for spots including AK.

What could fans possibly see in Miller that warrants keeping him > the future Saints Hall of Fame RB on the last year of his deal after he took a paycut?

We are talking about our RB3 and choosing between a Saints HOF back vs a guy that is just a name and hasn't really proved anything. Estime's 2 game sample is better than anything Miller has done in 3 years.

I'd put Kendre Miller up there with Landon Young and Nick Saldiveri as players who don't really exist. We just keep them to hold roster spots and trick teams into thinking we have extra depth, then they disappear. Is that even really them in preseason? Are these real people?
