Kaden Ellis Per Game Avg Since Week 9

Week 9 Ellis started getting much, much more playing time. In those remaining 8 games, he had 61 tackles, 6 sacks, 6 TFL, 8 QB hits, and 2 FF. If you average his per game numbers out over 17 games, it equals:
129 tackles, 13.5 sacks, 13.5 TFL, 17 QB hits, and 5 FF.
129 tackles, 13.5 sacks, 13.5 TFL, 17 QB hits, and 5 FF.

He has looked good, but trying to extrapolate those numbers into a whole season is a foolish projection

What's Werner's 40 time? Possible to move him to safety or go 3 lbs?

No way

In certain situations, absolutely. Especially in run downs or two TE sets

How else could you estimate what his full season stats could look like? I'm just having fun with it.

We have to do something to get Werner, Ellis, and Davis on the field together. All 3 are play makers

Well davis is probably on the downside of his career. So id say the problem will take care of itself

PFF has him at 79.2 this season. Ellis at 81.3. Werner at 64.2. Perhaps the answer is just using Werner as a backup

No it isn't. He needs to be on the field also. Playmaker with athleticism and instincts. Just missed a lot if time early

Because of meaningless PFF grades? Lol

This is where we are at. We have 2 very capable guys in Ellis and Werner, and if the team decided to use Baun correctly, we’d have 3.
Baun is not an MLB. He is an edge guy. Use him that way and we have 3 capable guys, even if our Defense does not utilize an LB as an edge guy often. Treat him like Taysom.

Werner will be a stud in this league. He's only 22 years old so we should expect some ups and downs early on but he shows flashes that a lot of guys don't.
Unrelated, but my brain can't comprehend that Werner and Ellis are the same size bc Ellis looks a lot bigger on the field. My only guess is the number 20 makes Werner look smaller than he is since it's typically a DB or RB that wears it. Or both of their listed weights are way off.
For example, Ellis looks natural rushing the passer with his hand on the ground, but Werner would crazy doing it, as if Alonte Taylor was playing DE.

Ellis has earned playing time and has earned a new contract
